Transliteration 1: KafhayaAAaynsad
Yusuf Ali 1: Kaf. Ha. Ya. 'Ain. Sad.
Mohsin Khan: 1: Kaf-Ha-Ya-'Ain-Sad. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].

2  
ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُ زَكَرِيَّا
Transliteration 2: Thikru rahmati rabbika AAabdahu zakariyya
Yusuf Ali 2: (This is) a recital of the Mercy of thy Lord to His servant Zakariya.
Mohsin Khan: 2: (This is) a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His slave Zakariyya (Zachariah).
Urdu 2: یہ تیرے رب کی مہربانی کا ذکر ہے جو اس کے بندے زکریا پر ہوئی


3  
إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ نِدَاءً خَفِيًّا
Transliteration 3: Ith nada rabbahu nidaan khafiyyan
Yusuf Ali 3: Behold! he cried to his Lord in secret,
Mohsin Khan: 3: When he called out his Lord (Allah) a call in secret.
Urdu 3: جب اس نے اپنے رب کو خفیہ آواز سے پکارا


4  
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُ مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُن بِدُعَائِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا
Transliteration 4: Qala rabbi innee wahana alAAathmu minnee waishtaAAala alrrasu shayban walam akun biduAAaika rabbi shaqiyyan
Yusuf Ali 4: Praying: "O my Lord! infirm indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head doth glisten with grey: but never am I unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to Thee!
Mohsin Khan: 4: He said: "My Lord! Indeed my bones have grown feeble, and grey hair has spread on my head, And I have never been unblest in my invocation to You, O my Lord!
Urdu 4: کہا اے میرے رب میری ہڈیاں کمزور ہو گئی ہیں اور سر میں بڑھاپا چمکنے لگا ہے او رمیرے رب تجھ سے مانگ کر میں کبھی محروم نہیں ہوا


5  
وَإِنِّي خِفْتُ الْمَوَالِيَ مِن وَرَائِي وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا
Transliteration 5: Wainnee khiftu almawaliya min waraee wakanati imraatee AAaqiran fahab lee min ladunka waliyyan
Yusuf Ali 5: "Now I fear (what) my relatives (and colleagues) (will do) after me: but my wife is barren: so give me an heir as from Thyself,-
Mohsin Khan: 5: "And verily I fear my relatives after me, and my wife is barren. So give me from Yourself an heir.
Urdu 5: اور بے شک میں اپنے بعد اپنے رشتہ داروں سے ڈرتا ہوں اور میری بیوی بانجھ ہے پس تو اپنے ہاں سے ایک وارث عطا کر


6  
يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَاجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا
Transliteration 6: Yarithunee wayarithu min ali yaAAqooba waijAAalhu rabbi radiyyan
Yusuf Ali 6: "(One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! one with whom Thou art well-pleased!"
Mohsin Khan: 6: "Who shall inherit me, and inherit (also) the posterity of Ya'qub (Jacob) (inheritance of the religious knowledge and Prophethood, not of wealth.). And make him, my Lord, one with whom You are Well-Pleased!"
Urdu 6: جو میرا اور یعقوب کے خاندان کا بھی وارث ہو اور میرے رب اسے پسندیدہ بنا


7  
يَا زَكَرِيَّا إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا
Transliteration 7: Ya zakariyya inna nubashshiruka bighulamin ismuhu yahya lam najAAal lahu min qablu samiyyan
Yusuf Ali 7: (His prayer was answered): "O Zakariya! We give thee good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have We conferred distinction before."
Mohsin Khan: 7: (Allah said) "O Zakariyya (Zachariah)! Verily, We give you the glad tidings of a son, whose name will be Yahya (John). We have given that name to none before (him)."
Urdu 7: اے زکریا بے شک ہم تجھے ایک لڑکے کی خوشخبری دیتے ہیں جس کا نام یحییٰ ہوگا اس سےپہلے ہم نے اس نام کا کوئی پیدا نہیں کیا


8  
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ الْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّا
Transliteration 8: Qala rabbi anna yakoonu lee ghulamun wakanati imraatee AAaqiran waqad balaghtu mina alkibari AAitiyyan
Yusuf Ali 8: He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son, when my wife is barren and I have grown quite decrepit from old age?"
Mohsin Khan: 8: He said: "My Lord! How can I have a son, when my wife is barren, and I have reached the extreme old age."
Urdu 8: کہا اے میرے رب میرے لیے لڑکا کہاں سے ہوگا حالانکہ میری بیوی بانجھ ہے اور میں بڑھاپے میں انتہائی درجہ کو پہنچ گیا ہوں


9  
قَالَ كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْئًا
Transliteration 9: Qala kathalika qala rabbuka huwa AAalayya hayyinun waqad khalaqtuka min qablu walam taku shayan
Yusuf Ali 9: He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'"
Mohsin Khan: 9: He said: "So (it will be). Your Lord says: It is easy for Me. Certainly I have created you before, when you had been nothing!"
Urdu 9: کہا ایسا ہی ہوگا تیرے رب نے کہاہے وہ مجھ پر آسان ہے اور میں نے تجھے اس سے پہلے پیدا کیا حالانکہ تو کوئی چیز نہ تھا


10  
قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَل لِّي آيَةً ۚ قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا
Transliteration 10: Qala rabbi ijAAal lee ayatan qala ayatuka alla tukallima alnnasa thalatha layalin sawiyyan
Yusuf Ali 10: (Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb."
Mohsin Khan: 10: [Zakariyya (Zachariah)] said: "My Lord! Appoint for me a sign." He said: "Your sign is that you shall not speak unto mankind for three nights, though having no bodily defect."
Urdu 10: کہا اے میرے رب میرے لئےکوئی نشانی مقرر کر کہا تیری نشانی یہ ہے کہ توتین رات تک مسلسل لوگوں سے بات نہیں کر سکے گا


11  
فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ مِنَ الْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا
Transliteration 11: Fakharaja AAala qawmihi mina almihrabi faawha ilayhim an sabbihoo bukratan waAAashiyyan
Yusuf Ali 11: So Zakariya came out to his people from him chamber: He told them by signs to celebrate Allah's praises in the morning and in the evening.
Mohsin Khan: 11: Then he came out to his people from Al-Mihrab (a praying place or a private room), and he told them by signs to glorify Allah's Praises in the morning and in the afternoon.
Urdu 11: پھر حجرہ سے نکل کر اپنی قوم کے پاس آئے اور انہیں اشارہ سے کہا کہ تم صبح و شام خدا کی تسبیح کیا کرو


12  
يَا يَحْيَىٰ خُذِ الْكِتَابَ بِقُوَّةٍ ۖ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّا
Transliteration 12: Ya yahya khuthi alkitaba biquwwatin waataynahu alhukma sabiyyan
Yusuf Ali 12: (To his son came the command): "O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and We gave him Wisdom even as a youth,
Mohsin Khan: 12: (It was said to his son): "O Yahya (John)! Hold fast the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]." And We gave him wisdom while yet a child.
Urdu 12: اے یحییٰ کتاب کو مضبوطی سے پکڑ اور ہم نے اسےبچپن ہی میں حکمت عطا کی


13  
وَحَنَانًا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَاةً ۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيًّا
Transliteration 13: Wahananan min ladunna wazakatan wakana taqiyyan
Yusuf Ali 13: And piety (for all creatures) as from Us, and purity: He was devout,
Mohsin Khan: 13: And (made him) sympathetic to men as a mercy (or a grant) from Us, and pure from sins [i.e. Yahya (John)] and he was righteous,
Urdu 13: اور اسے اپنے ہاں سے رحم دلی او رپاکیز گی عنایت کی اور وہ پرہیز گار تھا


14  
وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّا
Transliteration 14: Wabarran biwalidayhi walam yakun jabbaran AAasiyyan
Yusuf Ali 14: And kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious.
Mohsin Khan: 14: And dutiful towards his parents, and he was neither arrogant nor disobedient (to Allah or to his parents).
Urdu 14: اور اپنے ماں باپ کے ساتھ نیک سلوک کرنے والا اور سرکش نافرمان نہ تھا


15  
وَسَلَامٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
Transliteration 15: Wasalamun AAalayhi yawma wulida wayawma yamootu wayawma yubAAathu hayyan
Yusuf Ali 15: So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)!
Mohsin Khan: 15: And Salam (peace) be on him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he will be raised up to life (again)!
Urdu 15: اور اس پر سلام ہو جس دن وہ پیدا ہوا اور جس دن مرے گا اور جس دن وہ زندہ کرکے اٹھایا جائے گا


16  
وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ انتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًا شَرْقِيًّا
Transliteration 16: Waothkur fee alkitabi maryama ithi intabathat min ahliha makanan sharqiyyan
Yusuf Ali 16: Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.
Mohsin Khan: 16: And mention in the Book (the Qur'an, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east.
Urdu 16: اور اس کتاب میں مریم کا ذکر کر جب کہ وہ اپنے لوگوں سے علیحدہ ہو کر مشرقی مقام میں جا بیٹھی


17  
فَاتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًا فَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا
Transliteration 17: Faittakhathat min doonihim hijaban faarsalna ilayha roohana fatamaththala laha basharan sawiyyan
Yusuf Ali 17: She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.
Mohsin Khan: 17: She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our Ruh [angel Jibril (Gabriel)], and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects.
Urdu 17: پھر لوگوں کے سامنے سے پردہ ڈال لیا پھر ہم نے اس کے پاس اپنے فرشتے کو بھیجا پھر وہ اس کے سامنے پورا آدمی بن کر ظاہر ہوا


18  
قَالَتْ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِالرَّحْمَـٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيًّا
Transliteration 18: Qalat innee aAAoothu bialrrahmani minka in kunta taqiyyan
Yusuf Ali 18: She said: "I seek refuge from thee to (Allah) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah."
Mohsin Khan: 18: She said: "Verily! I seek refuge with the Most Gracious (Allah) from you, if you do fear Allah."
Urdu 18: کہا بے شک میں تجھ سے الله کی پناہ مانگتی ہوں اگر تو پرہیزگار ہے


19  
قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَامًا زَكِيًّا
Transliteration 19: Qala innama ana rasoolu rabbiki liahaba laki ghulaman zakiyyan
Yusuf Ali 19: He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.
Mohsin Khan: 19: (The angel) said: "I am only a messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son."
Urdu 19: کہا میں تو بس تیرے رب کا بھیجا ہوا ہوں تاکہ تجھے پاکیزہ لڑکا دوں


20  
قَالَتْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَرٌ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّا
Transliteration 20: Qalat anna yakoonu lee ghulamun walam yamsasnee basharun walam aku baghiyyan
Yusuf Ali 20: She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?"
Mohsin Khan: 20: She said: "How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste?"
Urdu 20: کہا میرے لیے لڑکا کہاں سے ہوگا حالانکہ مجھے کسی آدمی نے ہاتھ نہیں لگایا اور نہ میں بدکار ہوں


21  
قَالَ كَذَ‌ٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ ۖ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُ آيَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِّنَّا ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّا
Transliteration 21: Qala kathaliki qala rabbuki huwa AAalayya hayyinun walinajAAalahu ayatan lilnnasi warahmatan minna wakana amran maqdiyyan
Yusuf Ali 21: He said: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us': It is a matter (so) decreed."
Mohsin Khan: 21: He said: "So (it will be), your Lord said: 'That is easy for Me (Allah): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allah), and it is a matter (already) decreed, (by Allah).' "
Urdu 21: کہا ایسا ہی ہوگا تیرے رب نے کہا ہے وہ مجھ پر آسان ہے اور تاکہ ہم اسے لوگوں کے لیے نشانی اور اپنی طرف سے رحمت بنائیں اور یہ بات طے ہو چکی ہے


22  
 ۞ فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَانتَبَذَتْ بِهِ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا
Transliteration 22: Fahamalathu faintabathat bihi makanan qasiyyan
Yusuf Ali 22: So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place.
Mohsin Khan: 22: So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place (i.e. Bethlehem valley about 4-6 miles from Jerusalem).
Urdu 22: پھر اس (بچہ کے ساتھ) حاملہ ہوئی پھر اسے لے کر کسی دور جگہ میں چلی گئی


23  
فَأَجَاءَهَا الْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَا لَيْتَنِي مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَـٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًا مَّنسِيًّا
Transliteration 23: Faajaaha almakhadu ila jithAAi alnnakhlati qalat ya laytanee mittu qabla hatha wakuntu nasyan mansiyyan
Yusuf Ali 23: And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!"
Mohsin Khan: 23: And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said: "Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!"
Urdu 23: پھر اسے درد زہ ایک کھجور کی جڑ میں لے آیا کہا اے افسوس میں اس سے پہلے مرگئی ہوتی اور میں بھولی بھلائی ہوتی


24  
فَنَادَاهَا مِن تَحْتِهَا أَلَّا تَحْزَنِي قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّا
Transliteration 24: Fanadaha min tahtiha alla tahzanee qad jaAAala rabbuki tahtaki sariyyan
Yusuf Ali 24: But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;
Mohsin Khan: 24: Then [the babe 'Îsa (Jesus) or Jibril (Gabriel)] cried unto her from below her, saying: "Grieve not: your Lord has provided a water stream under you.
Urdu 24: پھر اسے اس کے نیچے سے پکارا کہ غم نہ کر تیرے رب نے تیرے نیچے سے ایک چشمہ پیدا کر دیا


25  
وَهُزِّي إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّا
Transliteration 25: Wahuzzee ilayki bijithAAi alnnakhlati tusaqit AAalayki rutaban janiyyan
Yusuf Ali 25: "And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.
Mohsin Khan: 25: "And shake the trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon you."
Urdu 25: اورتو کھجور کے تنہ کو پکڑ کر اپنی طرف ہلا تجھ پر پکی تازہ کھجوریں گریں گی


26  
فَكُلِي وَاشْرَبِي وَقَرِّي عَيْنًا ۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ الْبَشَرِ أَحَدًا فَقُولِي إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ صَوْمًا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ الْيَوْمَ إِنسِيًّا
Transliteration 26: Fakulee waishrabee waqarree AAaynan faimma tarayinna mina albashari ahadan faqoolee innee nathartu lilrrahmani sawman falan okallima alyawma insiyyan
Yusuf Ali 26: "So eat and drink and cool (thine) eye. And if thou dost see any man, say, 'I have vowed a fast to (Allah) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into not talk with any human being'"
Mohsin Khan: 26: "So eat and drink and be glad. And if you see any human being, say: 'Verily! I have vowed a fast unto the Most Gracious (Allah) so I shall not speak to any human being this day.'"
Urdu 26: سوکھا اور پی اور آنکھ ٹھنڈی کر پھر اگر تو کوئی آدمی دیکھے تو کہہ دے کہ میں نے رحمان کے لیے روزہ کی نذر مانی ہے سو آج میں کسی انسان سے بات نہیں کروں گی


27  
فَأَتَتْ بِهِ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُ ۖ قَالُوا يَا مَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْئًا فَرِيًّا
Transliteration 27: Faatat bihi qawmaha tahmiluhu qaloo ya maryamu laqad jiti shayan fariyyan
Yusuf Ali 27: At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!
Mohsin Khan: 27: Then she brought him (the baby) to her people, carrying him. They said: "O Mary! Indeed you have brought a thing Fariyy (a mighty thing). [Tafsir Al-Tabari]
Urdu 27: پھر وہ اسے قوم کے پا س اٹھا کر لائی انہوں نے کہا اے مریم البتہ تو نے عجیب بات کر دکھائی


28  
يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ امْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا
Transliteration 28: Ya okhta haroona ma kana abooki imraa sawin wama kanat ommuki baghiyyan
Yusuf Ali 28: "O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"
Mohsin Khan: 28: "O sister (i.e. the like) of Harun (Aaron) ! Your father was not a man who used to commit adultery, nor your mother was an unchaste woman."
Urdu 28: اے ہارون کی بہن نہ تو تیرا باپ ہی برا آدمی تھا اور نہ ہی تیری ماں بدکار تھی


29  
فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ ۖ قَالُوا كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِي الْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّا
Transliteration 29: Faasharat ilayhi qaloo kayfa nukallimu man kana fee almahdi sabiyyan
Yusuf Ali 29: But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
Mohsin Khan: 29: Then she pointed to him. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle? "
Urdu 29: تب اس نے لڑکے کی طرف اشارہ کیا انہوں نے کہا ہم پنگوڑھے والے بچے سے کیسے بات کریں


30  
قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّا
Transliteration 30: Qala innee AAabdu Allahi ataniya alkitaba wajaAAalanee nabiyyan
Yusuf Ali 30: He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;
Mohsin Khan: 30: "He ['Îsa (Jesus)] said: "Verily I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet; "
Urdu 30: کہا بے شک میں الله کا بندہ ہوں مجھےاس نے کتاب دی ہے اور مجھے نبی بنایا ہے


31  
وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوْصَانِي بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّا
Transliteration 31: WajaAAalanee mubarakan ayna ma kuntu waawsanee bialssalati waalzzakati ma dumtu hayyan
Yusuf Ali 31: "And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;
Mohsin Khan: 31: "And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live."
Urdu 31: اور مجھے با برکت بنایاہے جہاں کہیں ہوں اور مجھے کو نماز اور زکواة کی وصیت کی ہے جب تک میں زندہ ہوں


32  
وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَتِي وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا
Transliteration 32: Wabarran biwalidatee walam yajAAalnee jabbaran shaqiyyan
Yusuf Ali 32: "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
Mohsin Khan: 32: "And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest.
Urdu 32: اور اپنی ماں کے ساتھ نیکی کرنے والا اور مجھے سرکش بدبخت نہیں بنایا


33  
وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
Transliteration 33: Waalssalamu AAalayya yawma wulidtu wayawma amootu wayawma obAAathu hayyan
Yusuf Ali 33: "So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!
Mohsin Khan: 33: "And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!"
Urdu 33: اور مجھ پر سلام ہے جس دن میں پیدا ہوا اور جس دن مروں گا اور جس دن زندہ کر کے اٹھایا جاؤں گا


34  
ذَ‌ٰلِكَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قَوْلَ الْحَقِّ الَّذِي فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ
Transliteration 34: Thalika AAeesa ibnu maryama qawla alhaqqi allathee feehi yamtaroona
Yusuf Ali 34: Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
Mohsin Khan: 34: Such is 'Îsa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (It is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute).
Urdu 34: یہ عیسیٰ مریم کا بیٹا ہے سچی بات جس میں وہ جھگڑ رہے ہیں


35  
مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍ ۖ سُبْحَانَهُ ۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ
Transliteration 35: Ma kana lillahi an yattakhitha min waladin subhanahu itha qada amran fainnama yaqoolu lahu kun fayakoonu
Yusuf Ali 35: It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.
Mohsin Khan: 35: It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allah, by saying that 'Îsa (Jesus) is the son of Allah]. Glorified (and Exalted) be He (above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it: "Be!" - and it is.
Urdu 35: الله کی شان نہیں کہ وہ کسی کو بیٹا بنائے وہ پاک ہے جب کسی کام کا فیصلہ کرتا ہے توصرف اسے کن کہتا ہے پھر وہ ہو جاتا ہے


36  
وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
Transliteration 36: Wainna Allaha rabbee warabbukum faoAAbudoohu hatha siratun mustaqeemun
Yusuf Ali 36: Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.
Mohsin Khan: 36: ['Îsa (Jesus) said]: "And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets)." [Tafsir At-Tabari]
Urdu 36: اور بے شک الله تعالیٰ میرا اور تمہارا رب ہے سواسی کی عبادت کرو یہ سیدھا راستہ ہے


37  
فَاخْتَلَفَ الْأَحْزَابُ مِن بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Transliteration 37: Faikhtalafa alahzabu min baynihim fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo min mashhadi yawmin AAatheemin
Yusuf Ali 37: But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day!
Mohsin Khan: 37: Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about 'Îsa (Jesus) عليه السلام], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that 'Îsa (Jesus) is the son of Allah] from the Meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire) .
Urdu 37: پھر جماعتیں آپس میں مختلف ہو گئیں سوکافروں کے لیے ایک بڑے دن کے آنے سے خرابی ہے


38  
أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا ۖ لَـٰكِنِ الظَّالِمُونَ الْيَوْمَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ
Transliteration 38: AsmiAA bihim waabsir yawma yatoonana lakini alththalimoona alyawma fee dalalin mubeenin
Yusuf Ali 38: How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest!
Mohsin Khan: 38: How clearly will they (polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) see and hear the Day when they will appear before Us! But the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) today are in plain error.
Urdu 38: کیا خوب سنتے اور دیکھتے ہوں گے جس دن ہمارے پاس آئیں گے لیکن ظالم آج صریح گمراہی میں ہیں


39  
وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Transliteration 39: Waanthirhum yawma alhasrati ith qudiya alamru wahum fee ghaflatin wahum la yuminoona
Yusuf Ali 39: But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe!
Mohsin Khan: 39: And warn them (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) of the Day of grief and regrets, when the case has been decided, while (now) they are in a state of carelessness, and they believe not .
Urdu 39: اور انہیں حسرت کے دن سے ڈرا جس دن سارے معاملہ کا فیصلہ ہوگا اور وہ غفلت میں ہیں او رایمان نہیں لاتے


40  
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ الْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ
Transliteration 40: Inna nahnu narithu alarda waman AAalayha wailayna yurjaAAoona
Yusuf Ali 40: It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned.
Mohsin Khan: 40: Verily We will inherit the earth and whatsoever is thereon. And to Us they all shall be returned,
Urdu 40: بے شک ہم ہی زمین کے وارث ہوں گے اور ان کے بھی جو اس پر ہیں اور ہماری طرف لوٹائے جائیں گے


41  
وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا
Transliteration 41: Waothkur fee alkitabi ibraheema innahu kana siddeeqan nabiyyan
Yusuf Ali 41: (Also mention in the Book (the story of) Abraham: He was a man of Truth, a prophet.
Mohsin Khan: 41: And mention in the Book (the Qur'an) Ibrahim (Abraham). Verily he was a man of truth, a Prophet.
Urdu 41: اور کتاب میں ابراھیم کا ذکر بے شک وہ سچا نبی تھا


42  
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَا أَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لَا يَسْمَعُ وَلَا يُبْصِرُ وَلَا يُغْنِي عَنكَ شَيْئًا
Transliteration 42: Ith qala liabeehi ya abati lima taAAbudu ma la yasmaAAu wala yubsiru wala yughnee AAanka shayan
Yusuf Ali 42: Behold, he said to his father: "O my father! why worship that which heareth not and seeth not, and can profit thee nothing?
Mohsin Khan: 42: When he said to his father: "O my father! Why do you worship that which hears not, sees not and cannot avail you in anything?
Urdu 42: جب اپنے باپ سے کہا اے میرے باپ تو کیوں پوجتاہے ایسے کو جونہ سنتا ہے اور نہ دیکھتا ہے اور نہ تیرےکچھ کام آ سکے


43  
يَا أَبَتِ إِنِّي قَدْ جَاءَنِي مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِكَ فَاتَّبِعْنِي أَهْدِكَ صِرَاطًا سَوِيًّا
Transliteration 43: Ya abati innee qad jaanee mina alAAilmi ma lam yatika faittabiAAnee ahdika siratan sawiyyan
Yusuf Ali 43: "O my father! to me hath come knowledge which hath not reached thee: so follow me: I will guide thee to a way that is even and straight.
Mohsin Khan: 43: "O my father! Verily there has come to me of the knowledge that which came not unto you. So follow me, I will guide you to the Straight Path.
Urdu 43: اے میرے باپ بے شک مجھے وہ علم حاصل ہوا ہے جو تمہیں حاصل نہیں تو آپ میری تابعداری کریں میں آپ کو سیدھا راستہ دکھاؤں گا


44  
يَا أَبَتِ لَا تَعْبُدِ الشَّيْطَانَ ۖ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَصِيًّا
Transliteration 44: Ya abati la taAAbudi alshshaytana inna alshshaytana kana lilrrahmani AAasiyyan
Yusuf Ali 44: "O my father! serve not Satan: for Satan is a rebel against (Allah) Most Gracious.
Mohsin Khan: 44: "O my father! Worship not Shaitan (Satan). Verily Shaitan (Satan) has been a rebel against the Most Gracious (Allah).
Urdu 44: اے میرے باپ شیطان کی عبادت نہ کر بے شک شیطان الله کا نافرمان ہے


45  
يَا أَبَتِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٌ مِّنَ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيْطَانِ وَلِيًّا
Transliteration 45: Ya abati innee akhafu an yamassaka AAathabun mina alrrahmani fatakoona lilshshyatani waliyyan
Yusuf Ali 45: "O my father! I fear lest a Penalty afflict thee from (Allah) Most Gracious, so that thou become to Satan a friend."
Mohsin Khan: 45: "O my father! Verily I fear lest a torment from the Most Gracious (Allah) should overtake you, so that you become a companion of Shaitan (Satan) (in the Hell-fire)." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi]
Urdu 45: اے میرے باپ بے شک مجھے خوف ہے کہ تم پر الله کا عذاب آئے پھر شیطان کے ساتھی ہوجاؤ


46  
قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنْ آلِهَتِي يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ ۖ وَاهْجُرْنِي مَلِيًّا
Transliteration 46: Qala araghibun anta AAan alihatee ya ibraheemu lain lam tantahi laarjumannaka waohjurnee maliyyan
Yusuf Ali 46: (The father) replied: "Dost thou hate my gods, O Abraham? If thou forbear not, I will indeed stone thee: Now get away from me for a good long while!"
Mohsin Khan: 46: He (the father) said: "Do you reject my gods, O Ibrahim (Abraham)? If you stop not (this), I will indeed stone you. So get away from me safely (before I punish you)."
Urdu 46: کہا اے ابراھیم کیا تو میرے معبودوں سے پھرا ہوا ہے البتہ اگر تو باز نہ آیا میں تجھے سنگسار کردوں گا اور مجھ سے ایک مدت تک دور ہو جا


47  
قَالَ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكَ ۖ سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّي ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِي حَفِيًّا
Transliteration 47: Qala salamun AAalayka saastaghfiru laka rabbee innahu kana bee hafiyyan
Yusuf Ali 47: Abraham said: "Peace be on thee: I will pray to my Lord for thy forgiveness: for He is to me Most Gracious.
Mohsin Khan: 47: Ibrahim (Abraham) said: "Peace be on you! I will ask Forgiveness of my Lord for you. Verily He is unto me Ever Most Gracious.
Urdu 47: کہا تیری سلامتی رہے اب میں اپنے رب سے تیری بخشش کی دعا کروں گا بے شک وہ مجھ پر بڑا مہربان ہے


48  
وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَأَدْعُو رَبِّي عَسَىٰ أَلَّا أَكُونَ بِدُعَاءِ رَبِّي شَقِيًّا
Transliteration 48: WaaAAtazilukum wama tadAAoona min dooni Allahi waadAAoo rabbee AAasa alla akoona biduAAai rabbee shaqiyyan
Yusuf Ali 48: "And I will turn away from you (all) and from those whom ye invoke besides Allah: I will call on my Lord: perhaps, by my prayer to my Lord, I shall be not unblest."
Mohsin Khan: 48: "And I shall turn away from you and from those whom you invoke besides Allah. And I shall call upon my Lord and I hope that I shall not be unblest in my invocation to my Lord."
Urdu 48: اور میں تمہیں چھوڑتا ہوں اور جنہیں تم الله کے سوا پکارتے ہو اور میں اپنے رب ہی کو پکاروں گا امید ہے کہ میں اپنے رب کو پکار کر محروم نہ رہوں گا


49  
فَلَمَّا اعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّا
Transliteration 49: Falamma iAAtazalahum wama yaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi wahabna lahu ishaqa wayaAAqooba wakullan jaAAalna nabiyyan
Yusuf Ali 49: When he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and each one of them We made a prophet.
Mohsin Khan: 49: So when he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We gave him Ishaq (Isaac) and Ya'qub (Jacob), and each one of them We made a Prophet.
Urdu 49: پھر جب ان سے علیحدٰہ ہوا اور اس چیز سے جنہیں وہ الله کے سوا پوجتے تھے ہم نے اسے اسحاق اور یعقوب عطا کیا اور ہم نے ہر ایک کو نبی بنایا


50  
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّا
Transliteration 50: Wawahabna lahum min rahmatina wajaAAalna lahum lisana sidqin AAaliyyan
Yusuf Ali 50: And We bestowed of Our Mercy on them, and We granted them lofty honour on the tongue of truth.
Mohsin Khan: 50: And We gave them of Our Mercy (a good provision in plenty), and We granted them honour on the tongues (of all the nations, i.e. everybody remembers them with a good praise).
Urdu 50: اور ہم نے ان سب کو اپنی رحمت سے حصہ دیا اور ہم نے ان کا نیک نام بلند کیا


51  
وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مُوسَىٰ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مُخْلَصًا وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا
Transliteration 51: Waothkur fee alkitabi moosa innahu kana mukhlasan wakana rasoolan nabiyyan
Yusuf Ali 51: Also mention in the Book (the story of) Moses: for he was specially chosen, and he was a messenger (and) a prophet.
Mohsin Khan: 51: And mention in the Book (this Qur'an) Musa (Moses). Verily he was chosen and he was a Messenger (and) a Prophet.
Urdu 51: اور کتاب میں موسیٰ کا ذکر کر بے شک وہ خاص بندے اور بھیجے ہوئے پیغمبر تھے


52  
وَنَادَيْنَاهُ مِن جَانِبِ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَاهُ نَجِيًّا
Transliteration 52: Wanadaynahu min janibi alttoori alaymani waqarrabnahu najiyyan
Yusuf Ali 52: And we called him from the right side of Mount (Sinai), and made him draw near to Us, for mystic (converse).
Mohsin Khan: 52: And We called him from the right side of the Mount, and made him draw near to Us for a talk with him [Musa (Moses)].
Urdu 52: اور ہم نے اسے کوہِ طور کے دائیں طرف سے پکارا اور اسے راز کی بات کہنے کے لیے قریب بلایا


53  
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ مِن رَّحْمَتِنَا أَخَاهُ هَارُونَ نَبِيًّا
Transliteration 53: Wawahabna lahu min rahmatina akhahu haroona nabiyyan
Yusuf Ali 53: And, out of Our Mercy, We gave him his brother Aaron, (also) a prophet.
Mohsin Khan: 53: And We granted him his brother Harun (Aaron), (also) a Prophet, out of Our Mercy.
Urdu 53: اور ہم نے اسے اپنی رحمت سے ان کے بھائی ہارون کو نبی بنا کر عطا کیا


54  
وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صَادِقَ الْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا
Transliteration 54: Waothkur fee alkitabi ismaAAeela innahu kana sadiqa alwaAAdi wakana rasoolan nabiyyan
Yusuf Ali 54: Also mention in the Book (the story of) Isma'il: He was (strictly) true to what he promised, and he was a messenger (and) a prophet.
Mohsin Khan: 54: And mention in the Book (the Qur'an) Isma'il (Ishmael). Verily he was true to what he promised, and he was a Messenger, (and) a Prophet.
Urdu 54: اور کتاب میں اسماعیل کا بھی ذکر کر بے شک وہ وعدہ کا سچا اور بھیجا ہوا پیغمبر تھا


55  
وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِ مَرْضِيًّا
Transliteration 55: Wakana yamuru ahlahu bialssalati waalzzakati wakana AAinda rabbihi mardiyyan
Yusuf Ali 55: He used to enjoin on his people Prayer and Charity, and he was most acceptable in the sight of his Lord.
Mohsin Khan: 55: And he used to enjoin on his family and his people As-Salat (the prayers) and the Zakat and his Lord was pleased with him.
Urdu 55: اور اپنے گھر والوں کو نماز اور زکوٰةکا حکم کرتا تھا اور وہ اپنے رب کے ہاں پسندیدہ تھا


56  
وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِدْرِيسَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا
Transliteration 56: Waothkur fee alkitabi idreesa innahu kana siddeeqan nabiyyan
Yusuf Ali 56: Also mention in the Book the case of Idris: He was a man of truth (and sincerity), (and) a prophet:
Mohsin Khan: 56: And mention in the Book (the Qur'an) Idris (Enoch).Verily he was a man of truth, (and) a Prophet.
Urdu 56: اور کتاب میں ادریس کا ذکر کر بے شک وہ سچا نبی تھا


57  
وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا
Transliteration 57: WarafaAAnahu makanan AAaliyyan
Yusuf Ali 57: And We raised him to a lofty station.
Mohsin Khan: 57: And We raised him to a high station.
Urdu 57: اور ہم نے اسے بلند مرتبہ پر پہنچایا


58  
أُولَـٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ آدَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَاجْتَبَيْنَا ۚ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ خَرُّوا سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا ۩
Transliteration 58: Olaika allatheena anAAama Allahu AAalayhim mina alnnabiyyeena min thurriyyati adama wamimman hamalna maAAa noohin wamin thurriyyati ibraheema waisraeela wamimman hadayna waijtabayna itha tutla AAalayhim ayatu alrrahmani kharroo sujjadan wabukiyyan
Yusuf Ali 58: Those were some of the prophets on whom Allah did bestow His Grace,- of the posterity of Adam, and of those who We carried (in the Ark) with Noah, and of the posterity of Abraham and Israel of those whom We guided and chose. Whenever the Signs of (Allah) Most Gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears.
Mohsin Khan: 58: Those were they unto whom Allah bestowed His Grace from among the Prophets, of the offspring of Adam, and of those whom We carried (in the ship) with Nuh (Noah), and of the offspring of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Israel, and from among those whom We guided and chose. When the Verses of the Most Gracious (Allah) were recited unto them, they fell down prostrate and weeping.
Urdu 58: یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن پر الله نے انعام کیا پیغمبروں میں اور آدم کی اولاد میں سے اور ان میں سے جنہیں ہم نے نوح کے ساتھ سوار کیا تھا اور ابراھیم اور اسرائیل کی اولاد میں سے اور ان میں سے جنہیں ہم نے ہدایت کی اور پسند کیا جب ان پر الله کی آیتیں پڑھی جاتی ہیں تو روتے ہوئے سجدے میں گرتے ہیں


59  
 ۞ فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا
Transliteration 59: Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun adaAAoo alssalata waittabaAAoo alshshahawati fasawfa yalqawna ghayyan
Yusuf Ali 59: But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon, then, will they face Destruction,-
Mohsin Khan: 59: Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.
Urdu 59: پھر ان کی جگہ ایسے ناخلف آئے جنہو ں نے نماز ضائع کی اور خواہشوں کے پیچھے پڑ گئے پھر عنقریب گمراہی کی سزا پائیں گے


60  
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُولَـٰئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا
Transliteration 60: Illa man taba waamana waAAamila salihan faolaika yadkhuloona aljannata wala yuthlamoona shayan
Yusuf Ali 60: Except those who repent and believe, and work righteousness: for these will enter the Garden and will not be wronged in the least,-
Mohsin Khan: 60: Except those who repent and believe (in the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught.
Urdu 60: مگر جس نے توبہ کی اور ایمان لایا اور نیک کام کیے سو وہ لوگ بہشت میں داخل ہوں گے اور ان کا ذرا نقصان نہ کیا جائے گا


61  
جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ عِبَادَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ وَعْدُهُ مَأْتِيًّا
Transliteration 61: Jannati AAadnin allatee waAAada alrrahmanu AAibadahu bialghaybi innahu kana waAAduhu matiyyan
Yusuf Ali 61: Gardens of Eternity, those which (Allah) Most Gracious has promised to His servants in the Unseen: for His promise must (necessarily) come to pass.
Mohsin Khan: 61: (They will enter) 'Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), which the Most Gracious (Allah) has promised to His slaves in the Unseen: Verily His Promise must come to pass.
Urdu 61: ہمیشگی کے باغوں میں جن کا رحمان نے اپنے بندوں سے وعدہ کیا ہے جو ان کی آنکھوں سے پوشیدہ ہے بے شک اس کا وعدہ پورا ہونے والا ہے


62  
لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلَّا سَلَامًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا
Transliteration 62: La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan illa salaman walahum rizquhum feeha bukratan waAAashiyyan
Yusuf Ali 62: They will not there hear any vain discourse, but only salutations of Peace: And they will have therein their sustenance, morning and evening.
Mohsin Khan: 62: They shall not hear therein (in Paradise) any Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk), but only Salam (salutations of peace). And they will have therein their sustenance, morning and afternoon. [See (V.40:55)].
Urdu 62: اس میں سوائے سلام کے کوئی فضول بات نہ سنیں گے اور انہیں وہاں صبح و شام کھانا ملے گا


63  
تِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِي نُورِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيًّا
Transliteration 63: Tilka aljannatu allatee noorithu min AAibadina man kana taqiyyan
Yusuf Ali 63: Such is the Garden which We give as an inheritance to those of Our servants who guard against Evil.
Mohsin Khan: 63: Such is the Paradise which We shall give as an inheritance to those of Our slaves who have been Al-Muttaqun (the pious - See V.2:2).
Urdu 63: یہ وہ جنت ہے کہ ہم اپنے بندوں میں سے اس کو وارث بنائیں گے جو پرہیزگار ہوگا


64  
وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ ۖ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا
Transliteration 64: Wama natanazzalu illa biamri rabbika lahu ma bayna aydeena wama khalfana wama bayna thalika wama kana rabbuka nasiyyan
Yusuf Ali 64: (The angels say:) "We descend not but by command of thy Lord: to Him belongeth what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between: and thy Lord never doth forget,-
Mohsin Khan: 64: And we (angels) descend not except by the Command of your Lord (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between those two; and your Lord is never forgetful -
Urdu 64: اورہم تیرے رب کے حکم کے سوا نہیں اترتے اسی کا ہے جو کچھ ہمارے سامنے ہے اور جو کچھ ہمارے پیچھے ہے اور جو کچھ اس کے درمیان ہے او ر تیرا رب بھولنے والا نہیں


65  
رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَاعْبُدْهُ وَاصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَادَتِهِ ۚ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُ سَمِيًّا
Transliteration 65: Rabbu alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma faoAAbudhu waistabir liAAibadatihi hal taAAlamu lahu samiyyan
Yusuf Ali 65: "Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and of all that is between them; so worship Him, and be constant and patient in His worship: knowest thou of any who is worthy of the same Name as He?"
Mohsin Khan: 65: Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, so worship Him (Alone) and be constant and patient in His worship. Do you know of any who is similar to Him? (of course none is similar or co-equal or comparable to Him, and He has none as partner with Him). [There is nothing like Him and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer].
Urdu 65: آسمانوں اور زمین کا رب ہے اور جو چیز ان کے درمیان ہے سو اسی کی عبادت کرو اسی کی عبادت پر قائم رہ کیا تیرے علم میں ا س جیسا کوئی اور ہے


66  
وَيَقُولُ الْإِنسَانُ أَإِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا
Transliteration 66: Wayaqoolu alinsanu aitha ma mittu lasawfa okhraju hayyan
Yusuf Ali 66: Man says: "What! When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?"
Mohsin Khan: 66: And man (the disbeliever) says: "When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?"
Urdu 66: اور انسان کہتا ہے جب میں مرجاؤں گا تو کیا پھر زندہ کر کے نکالا جاؤں گا


67  
أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ الْإِنسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْئًا
Transliteration 67: Awala yathkuru alinsanu anna khalaqnahu min qablu walam yaku shayan
Yusuf Ali 67: But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?
Mohsin Khan: 67: Does not man remember that We created him before, while he was nothing?
Urdu 67: کیا انسان کو یاد نہیں ہے کہ اس سے پہلے ہم نے اسےبنایا تھا اور وہ کوئی چیز بھی نہ تھا


68  
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَالشَّيَاطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا
Transliteration 68: Fawarabbika lanahshurannahum waalshshayateena thumma lanuhdirannahum hawla jahannama jithiyyan
Yusuf Ali 68: So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell;
Mohsin Khan: 68: So by your Lord, surely, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Shayatin (devils) (with them), then We shall bring them round Hell on their knees.
Urdu 68: سو تیرے رب کی قسم ہے ہم انہیں اور ان کے شیطانوں کو ضرور جمع کریں گے پھر ہم انہیں گھٹنوں پر گرے ہوئے دوزخ کے گرد حاضر کریں گے


69  
ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى الرَّحْمَـٰنِ عِتِيًّا
Transliteration 69: Thumma lananziAAanna min kulli sheeAAatin ayyuhum ashaddu AAala alrrahmani AAitiyyan
Yusuf Ali 69: Then shall We certainly drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against (Allah) Most Gracious.
Mohsin Khan: 69: Then indeed We shall drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against the Most Gracious (Allah).
Urdu 69: پھر ہر گروہ میں سے ان لوگوں کو الگ کر لیں گے جو الله سے بہت ہی سرکش تھے


70  
ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِالَّذِينَ هُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيًّا
Transliteration 70: Thumma lanahnu aAAlamu biallatheena hum awla biha siliyyan
Yusuf Ali 70: And certainly We know best those who are most worthy of being burned therein.
Mohsin Khan: 70: Then, verily, We know best those who are most worthy of being burnt therein.
Urdu 70: پھر ہم ان لوگو ں کو خوب جانتے ہیں جو دوزخ میں جانے کے زیادہ مستحق ہیں


71  
وَإِن مِّنكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَّقْضِيًّا
Transliteration 71: Wain minkum illa wariduha kana AAala rabbika hatman maqdiyyan
Yusuf Ali 71: Not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished.
Mohsin Khan: 71: There is not one of you but will pass over it (Hell): this is with your Lord; a Decree which must be accomplished.
Urdu 71: اور تم میں سے کوئی بھی ایسا نہیں جس کا اس پر گزر نہ ہو یہ تیرے رب پر لازم مقرر کیا ہوا ہے


72  
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا
Transliteration 72: Thumma nunajjee allatheena ittaqaw wanatharu alththalimeena feeha jithiyyan
Yusuf Ali 72: But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees.
Mohsin Khan: 72: Then We shall save those who used to fear Allah and were dutiful to Him. And We shall leave the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers) therein (humbled) to their knees (in Hell).
Urdu 72: پھر ہم انہیں بچا لیں گے جو ڈرتے ہیں اور ظالموں کو اس میں گھٹنوں پر گرے ہوئے چھوڑ دیں گے


73  
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَّقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّا
Transliteration 73: Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo ayyu alfareeqayni khayrun maqaman waahsanu nadiyyan
Yusuf Ali 73: When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?"
Mohsin Khan: 73: And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve (the rich and strong among the pagans of Quraish who live a life of luxury) say to those who believe (the weak, poor companions of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم who have a hard life): "Which of the two groups (i.e. believers or disbelievers) is best in (point of) position and as regards station (place of council for consultation)."
Urdu 73: اور جب انہیں ہماری کھلی ہوئی آیتیں سنائی جاتی ہیں تو کافر ایمان داروں سے کہتے ہیں دونوں فریقوں میں سے کس کا مرتبہ بہتر ہے اور محفل کس کی اچھی ہے


74  
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَاثًا وَرِئْيًا
Transliteration 74: Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hum ahsanu athathan wariyan
Yusuf Ali 74: But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye?
Mohsin Khan: 74: And how many a generation (past nations) have We destroyed before them, who were better in wealth, goods and outward appearance?
Urdu 74: اور ہم ان سے پہلے کتنی جماعتیں ہلاک کرچکے ہیں وہ سامان اور نمود میں بہتر تھے


75  
قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِي الضَّلَالَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ مَدًّا ۚ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا الْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا السَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًا
Transliteration 75: Qul man kana fee alddalalati falyamdud lahu alrrahmanu maddan hatta itha raaw ma yooAAadoona imma alAAathaba waimma alssaAAata fasayaAAlamoona man huwa sharrun makanan waadAAafu jundan
Yusuf Ali 75: Say: "If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces!
Mohsin Khan: 75: Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) whoever is in error, the Most Gracious (Allah) will extend (the rope) to him, until, when they see that which they were promised, either the torment or the Hour, they will come to know who is worst in position, and who is weaker in forces. [This is the answer to the question in Verse No.19:73]
Urdu 75: کہہ دو جو شخص گمراہی میں پڑا ہوا ہے سو الله بھی اسے ڈھیل دیتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب اس چیز کو دیکھیں گے جس کا انہیں نے وعدہ دیا گیا تھا یا عذاب یا قیامت تب معلوم کر لیں گے مرتبے میں کون برا ہے اور لشکر کس کا کمزور ہے


76  
وَيَزِيدُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اهْتَدَوْا هُدًى ۗ وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ مَّرَدًّا
Transliteration 76: Wayazeedu Allahu allatheena ihtadaw hudan waalbaqiyatu alssalihatu khayrun AAinda rabbika thawaban wakhayrun maraddan
Yusuf Ali 76: "And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return."
Mohsin Khan: 76: And Allah increases in guidance those who walk aright. And the righteous good deeds that last, are better with your Lord, for reward and better for resort.
Urdu 76: اور جو لوگ ہدایت پر ہیں الله انہیں زیادہ ہدایت دیتا ہے اور باقی رہنے والی نیکیاں تیرے رب کے نزدیک ثواب اور انجام کے لحاظ سے بہت ہی بہتر ہیں


77  
أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا
Transliteration 77: Afaraayta allathee kafara biayatina waqala laootayanna malan wawaladan
Yusuf Ali 77: Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?"
Mohsin Khan: 77: Have you seen him who disbelieved in Our Ayat (this Qur'an and Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and said: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children [if I will be alive (again)]."
Urdu 77: کیا تو نے اس شخص کو دیکھا جس نے ہماری آیتوں کا انکار کیا اور کہتا ہے کہ مجھے ضرور مال اور اولاد ملے گی


78  
أَطَّلَعَ الْغَيْبَ أَمِ اتَّخَذَ عِندَ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَهْدًا
Transliteration 78: AttalaAAa alghayba ami ittakhatha AAinda alrrahmani AAahdan
Yusuf Ali 78: Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with (Allah) Most Gracious?
Mohsin Khan: 78: Has he known the Unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Gracious (Allah)?
Urdu 78: کیا اس نے غیب پر اطلاع پائی ہے یا اس نے الله سے اقرار لے رکھا ہے


79  
كَلَّا ۚ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ مَدًّا
Transliteration 79: Kalla sanaktubu ma yaqoolu wanamuddu lahu mina alAAathabi maddan
Yusuf Ali 79: Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment.
Mohsin Khan: 79: Nay, We shall record what he says, and We shall increase his torment (in the Hell);
Urdu 79: ہرگز نہیں ہم لکھ لیتے ہیں جو کچھ وہ کہتا ہے اور اس کے لیے عذاب بڑھاتے جاتے ہیں


80  
وَنَرِثُهُ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا
Transliteration 80: Wanarithuhu ma yaqoolu wayateena fardan
Yusuf Ali 80: To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone.
Mohsin Khan: 80: And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone.
Urdu 80: اور ہم اس کے وارث ہوں گے جو کچھ وہ کہتا ہے او رہمارے ہاں تنہا آئے گا


81  
وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا لَهُمْ عِزًّا
Transliteration 81: Waittakhathoo min dooni Allahi alihatan liyakoonoo lahum AAizzan
Yusuf Ali 81: And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory!
Mohsin Khan: 81: And they have taken (for worship) alihah (gods) besides Allah, that they might give them honour, power and glory (and also protect them from Allah's punishment).
Urdu 81: اور انہوں نے الله کے سوا معبود بنا لیے ہیں تاکہ وہ ان کے مددگار ہوں


82  
كَلَّا ۚ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا
Transliteration 82: Kalla sayakfuroona biAAibadatihim wayakoonoona AAalayhim diddan
Yusuf Ali 82: Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them.
Mohsin Khan: 82: Nay, but they (the so-called gods) will deny their worship of them, and become opponents to them (on the Day of Resurrection).
Urdu 82: ہرگز نہیں وہ جلد ہی ان کی عبادت کا انکار کریں گے اور ان کے مخالف ہوجائیں گے


83  
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّا
Transliteration 83: Alam tara anna arsalna alshshayateena AAala alkafireena taozzuhum azzan
Yusuf Ali 83: Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury?
Mohsin Khan: 83: See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil.
Urdu 83: کیا تو نے نہیں دیکھا ہم نے شیطانو ں کوکافروں پر چھوڑ رکھا ہے وہ انھیں ابھارتے رہتے ہیں


84  
فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا
Transliteration 84: Fala taAAjal AAalayhim innama naAAuddu lahum AAaddan
Yusuf Ali 84: So make no haste against them, for We but count out to them a (limited) number (of days).
Mohsin Khan: 84: So make no haste against them; We only count out to them a (limited) number (of the days of the life of this world and delay their term so that they may increase in evil and sins).
Urdu 84: سوتو ان کے لیے عذاب کی جلدی نہ کر ہم خود ان کے دن گن رہے ہیں


85  
يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى الرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَفْدًا
Transliteration 85: Yawma nahshuru almuttaqeena ila alrrahmani wafdan
Yusuf Ali 85: The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours,
Mohsin Khan: 85: The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (the pious - See V.2:2) unto the Most Gracious (Allah), like a delegation (presented before a king for honour).
Urdu 85: جس دن ہم پرہیزگاروں کے رحمان کے پاس مہمان بنا کر جمع کریں گے


86  
وَنَسُوقُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًا
Transliteration 86: Wanasooqu almujrimeena ila jahannama wirdan
Yusuf Ali 86: And We shall drive the sinners to Hell, like thirsty cattle driven down to water,-
Mohsin Khan: 86: And We shall drive the Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) to Hell, in a thirsty state (like a thirsty herd driven down to water).
Urdu 86: اور گناہگاروں کو دوزخ کی طرف پیاسا ہانکیں گے


87  
لَّا يَمْلِكُونَ الشَّفَاعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّخَذَ عِندَ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَهْدًا
Transliteration 87: La yamlikoona alshshafaAAata illa mani ittakhatha AAinda alrrahmani AAahdan
Yusuf Ali 87: None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from (Allah) Most Gracious.
Mohsin Khan: 87: None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from the Most Gracious (Allah).
Urdu 87: کسی کو سفارش کا اختیار نہیں ہوگا مگر جس نے رحمان کے ہاں سے اجازت لی ہو


88  
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَلَدًا
Transliteration 88: Waqaloo ittakhatha alrrahmanu waladan
Yusuf Ali 88: They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!"
Mohsin Khan: 88: And they say: "The Most Gracious (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Îsa (Jesus) عليه السلام], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels and others.)]."
Urdu 88: اورکہتے ہیں کہ رحمان نے بیٹا بنا لیا


89  
لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْئًا إِدًّا
Transliteration 89: Laqad jitum shayan iddan
Yusuf Ali 89: Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!
Mohsin Khan: 89: Indeed you have brought forth (said) a terrible evil thing.
Urdu 89: البتہ تحقیق تم سخت بات زبان پر لائے ہو


90  
تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ الْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا
Transliteration 90: Takadu alssamawatu yatafattarna minhu watanshaqqu alardu watakhirru aljibalu haddan
Yusuf Ali 90: At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin,
Mohsin Khan: 90: Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins,
Urdu 90: کہ جس سے ابھی آسمان پھٹ جائیں اور زمین چر جائے اور پہاڑ ٹکڑے ہو کر گر پڑیں


91  
أَن دَعَوْا لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَلَدًا
Transliteration 91: An daAAaw lilrrahmani waladan
Yusuf Ali 91: That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious.
Mohsin Khan: 91: That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Gracious (Allah).
Urdu 91: اس لئے کہ انہوں نے رحمان کے لیے بیٹا تجویز کیا


92  
وَمَا يَنبَغِي لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا
Transliteration 92: Wama yanbaghee lilrrahmani an yattakhitha waladan
Yusuf Ali 92: For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son.
Mohsin Khan: 92: But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Gracious (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children).
Urdu 92: اور رحمان کی یہ شان نہیں کہ کسی کوبیٹا بنائے


93  
إِن كُلُّ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِلَّا آتِي الرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَبْدًا
Transliteration 93: In kullu man fee alssamawati waalardi illa atee alrrahmani AAabdan
Yusuf Ali 93: Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant.
Mohsin Khan: 93: There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Gracious (Allah) as a slave.
Urdu 93: جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے ان میں سے ایسا کوئی نہیں جو رحمان کا بندہ بن کر نہ آئے


94  
لَّقَدْ أَحْصَاهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّا
Transliteration 94: Laqad ahsahum waAAaddahum AAaddan
Yusuf Ali 94: He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly.
Mohsin Khan: 94: Verily He knows each one of them, and has counted them a full counting.
Urdu 94: البتہ تحقیق اس نے انھیں شمار کر رکھا ہے اور ان کی گنتی گن رکھی ہے


95  
وَكُلُّهُمْ آتِيهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَرْدًا
Transliteration 95: Wakulluhum ateehi yawma alqiyamati fardan
Yusuf Ali 95: And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment.
Mohsin Khan: 95: And everyone of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, or protector or defender).
Urdu 95: او رہر ایک ان میں سے اس کے ہاں اکیلا آئے گا


96  
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ وُدًّا
Transliteration 96: Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati sayajAAalu lahumu alrrahmanu wuddan
Yusuf Ali 96: On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will (Allah) Most Gracious bestow love.
Mohsin Khan: 96: Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)] and work deeds of righteousness, the Most Gracious (Allah) will bestow love for them (in the hearts of the believers).
Urdu 96: بے شک جو ایمان لائے اور نیک کام کیے عنقریب رحمان ان کے لیے محبت پیدا کرے گالاشبہ جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے اچھے کام کیے الله تعالیٰ ان کے لیے محبت پیدا کر ے گا


97  
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِ قَوْمًا لُّدًّا
Transliteration 97: Fainnama yassarnahu bilisanika litubashshira bihi almuttaqeena watunthira bihi qawman luddan
Yusuf Ali 97: So have We made the (Qur'an) easy in thine own tongue, that with it thou mayest give Glad Tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to contention.
Mohsin Khan: 97: So We have made this (the Qur'an) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqun (the pious - See V.2:2), and warn with it the Ludd (most quarrelsome) people.
Urdu 97: سو ہم نے فرمان کو تیری زبان میں اس لیےآسان کیا ہے کہ تو اس سے پرہیز گاروں کو خوشخبری سنا دے اور جھگڑنے والوں کو ڈرا دے


98  
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًا
Transliteration 98: Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hal tuhissu minhum min ahadin aw tasmaAAu lahum rikzan
Yusuf Ali 98: But how many (countless) generations before them have We destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them?
Mohsin Khan: 98: And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Can you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) find a single one of them or hear even a whisper of them?
Urdu 98: اور ہم ان سے پہلے کئی جماعتیں ہلاک کر چکے ہیں کیا تو کسی کی ان میں سے آہٹ پاتا ہے یا ان کی بھنک سنتا ہے
