| 60. | ۞ وَإِذِ اسْتَسْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ فَقُلْنَا اضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ الْحَجَرَ ۖ فَانفَجَرَتْ مِنْهُ اثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ عَيْنًا ۖ قَدْ عَلِمَ كُلُّ أُنَاسٍ مَّشْرَبَهُمْ ۖ كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا مِن رِّزْقِ اللَّهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ |
| Transliteration: | Waithi istasqa moosa liqawmihi faqulna idrib biAAasaka alhajara fainfajarat minhu ithnata AAashrata AAaynan qad AAalima kullu onasin mashrabahum kuloo waishraboo min rizqi Allahi wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena |
| Yusuf Ali: | And remember Moses prayed for water for his people; We said: "Strike the rock with thy staff." Then gushed forth therefrom twelve springs. Each group knew its own place for water. So eat and drink of the sustenance provided by Allah, and do no evil nor mischief on the (face of the) earth. |
| Shakir: | And when Musa prayed for drink for his people, We said: Strike the rock with your staff. So there gushed from it twelve springs; each tribe knew its drinking place: Eat and drink of the provisions of Allah and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief. |

Et tout d'un coup, douze sources en jaillirent, et certes, chaque tribu sut où s'abreuver! - «Mangez et buvez de ce qu'Allah vous accorde; et ne semez pas de troubles sur la terre comme des fauteurs de désordre». |
| Spanish: | Y cuando Moisés pidió agua para su pueblo. Dijimos: «¡Golpea la roca con tu vara!» Y brotaron de ella doce manantiales. Todos sabían de cuál debían beber. «¡Comed y bebed del sustento de Alá y no obréis mal en la tierra corrompiendo!» |
| Indonesian: | Dan (ingatlah) ketika Musa memohon air untuk kaumnya, lalu Kami berfirman: "Pukullah batu itu dengan tongkatmu". Lalu memancarlah daripadanya dua belas mata air. Sungguh tiap-tiap suku telah mengetahui tempat minumnya (masing-masing). Makan dan minumlah rezki (yang diberikan) Allah, dan janganlah kamu berkeliaran di muka bumi dengan berbuat kerusakan.

| Malay:: | Dan (ingatlah) ketika Nabi Musa memohon supaya diberi air untuk kaumnya, maka Kami berfirman: Pukullah batu itu dengan tongkatmu, (dia pun memukulnya), lalu terpancutlah dari batu itu dua belas mata air; sesungguhnya tiap-tiap satu puak (di antara mereka) telah mengetahui tempat minumnya masing-masing. (Dan Kami berfirman): Makanlah dan minumlah kamu dari rezeki Allah itu dan janganlah kamu merebakkan bencana kerosakan di muka bumi.

| German: | Und als Musa für sein Volk um Wasser bat, da sagten Wir: "Schlag mit deinem Stock auf den Felsen!" Da entsprangen ihm zwölf Quellen. Nun wußte jedermann, wo sein Platz zum Trinken war: "Eßt und trinkt von Allahs Versorgung und richtet auf der Erde nicht unheilstiftend Verderben an!" |
| Russian: | Вот Муса (Моисей) попросил питья для своего народа, и Мы сказали: «Ударь своим посохом по камню». Из него забили двенадцать ключей, и все люди узнали, где им надлежит пить. Ешьте и пейте из того, чем наделил Аллах, и не творите на земле зла, распространяя нечестие! |
