| | Yusuf Ali 1: | ((Allah)) Most Gracious!
|

| | Transliteration 2: | AAallama alqurana
|
| |
| | Yusuf Ali 2: | It is He Who has taught the Qur'an.
|
| |
|
| |
| | |
| | Transliteration 3: | Khalaqa alinsana
|
| |
| | Yusuf Ali 3: | He has created man:
|
| |
|
| |
| | |
| | Transliteration 4: | AAallamahu albayana
|
| |
| | Yusuf Ali 4: | He has taught him speech (and intelligence).
|
| |
|
| |
|
5 | الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ |
| |
| | Transliteration 5: | Alshshamsu waalqamaru bihusbanin
|
| |
| | Yusuf Ali 5: | The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed;
|
| |
|
| |
|
6 | وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ |
| |
| | Transliteration 6: | Waalnnajmu waalshshajaru yasjudani
|
| |
| | Yusuf Ali 6: | And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) bow in adoration.
|
| |
|
| |
|
7 | وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ |
| |
| | Transliteration 7: | Waalssamaa rafaAAaha wawadaAAa almeezana
|
| |
| | Yusuf Ali 7: | And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),
|
| |
|
| |
|
8 | أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ |
| |
| | Transliteration 8: | Alla tatghaw fee almeezani
|
| |
| | Yusuf Ali 8: | In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance.
|
| |
|
| |
|
9 | وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ |
| |
| | Transliteration 9: | Waaqeemoo alwazna bialqisti wala tukhsiroo almeezana
|
| |
| | Yusuf Ali 9: | So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance.
|
| |
|
| |
|
10 | وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ |
| |
| | Transliteration 10: | Waalarda wadaAAaha lilanami
|
| |
| | Yusuf Ali 10: | It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures:
