| 1. | هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى الْإِنسَانِ حِينٌ مِّنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُن شَيْئًا مَّذْكُورًا |
| Transliteration: | Hal ata AAala alinsani heenun mina alddahri lam yakun shayan mathkooran |
| Yusuf Ali: | Has there not been over Man a long period of Time, when he was nothing - (not even) mentioned? |
| Shakir: | There surely came over man a period of time when he was a thing not worth mentioning. |
| Pickthall: | Hath there come upon man (ever) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered? |
| Mohsin Khan: | Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was not a thing worth mentioning? |
| French: | S'est-il écoulé pour l'homme un laps de temps durant lequel il n'était même pas une chose mentionnable? |
| Spanish: | ¿Ha pasado el hombre por un período de tiempo en que no era nada digno de mención? |
| Indonesian: | Bukankah telah datang atas manusia satu waktu dari masa, sedang dia ketika itu belum merupakan sesuatu yang dapat disebut?

| German: | Ist (nicht) über den Menschen eine Spanne der endlosen Zeit gekommen, in der er nichts Nennenswertes ist? |
| Russian: | Неужели не прошло то время, когда человек был безвестен? |

| Urdu: | انسان پر ضرور ایک ایسا زمانہ بھی آیا ہے کہ اس کا کہیں کچھ بھی ذکر نہ تھا |

| 2. | إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | Inna khalaqna alinsana min nutfatin amshajin nabtaleehi fajaAAalnahu sameeAAan baseeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight. |
| Shakir: | Surely We have created man from a small life-germ uniting (itself): We mean to try him, so We have made him hearing, seeing. |
| Pickthall: | Lo! We create man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him; so We make him hearing, knowing. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Verily, We have created man from Nutfah (drops) of mixed semen (sexual discharge of man and woman), in order to try him: so We made him hearer and seer. |
| French: | En effet, Nous avons créé l'homme d'une goutte de sperme mélangé [aux composantes diverses] pour le mettre à l'épreuve. [C'est pourquoi] Nous l'avons fait entendant et voyant. |
| Spanish: | Hemos creado al hombre de una gota, de ingredientes, para ponerle a prueba. Le hemos dado el oído, la vista. |
| Indonesian: | Sesungguhnya Kami telah menciptakan manusia dari setetes mani yang bercampur yang Kami hendak mengujinya (dengan perintah dan larangan), karena itu Kami jadikan dia mendengar dan melihat.

| Malay:: | Sesungguhnya Kami telah aturkan cara mencipta manusia bermulanya dari air mani yang bercampur (dari pati benih lelaki dan perempuan), serta Kami tetap mengujinya (dengan kewajipan-kewajipan); oleh itu maka Kami jadikan dia berkeadaan mendengar dan melihat.

| German: | Wir haben den Menschen ja aus einem Samentropfen, einem Gemisch erschaffen, (um) ihn zu prüfen. Und so haben Wir ihn mit Gehör und Augenlicht versehen. |
| Russian: | Мы создали человека из смешанной капли, подвергая его испытанию, и сделали его слышащим и зрячим. |
| Bosnian: | Mi čovjeka od smjese sjemena stvaramo da bismo ga na kušnju stavili i činimo da on čuje i vidi; |
| Urdu: | بے شک ہم نے انسان کو ایک مرکب بوند سے پیدا کیا ہم اس کی آزمائش کرنا چاہتے تھے پس ہم نے اسے سننے والا دیکھنے والا بنا دیا |

| 3. | إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا |
| Transliteration: | Inna hadaynahu alssabeela imma shakiran waimma kafooran |
| Yusuf Ali: | We showed him the Way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful (rests on his will). |
| Shakir: | Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful. |
| Pickthall: | Lo! We have shown him the way, whether he be grateful or disbelieving. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Verily, We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. |
| French: | Nous l'avons guidé dans le chemin, - qu'il soit reconnaissant ou ingrat - |
| Spanish: | Agradecido o desagradecido, le hemos dirigido por el Camino. |
| Indonesian: | Sesungguhnya Kami telah menunjukinya jalan yang lurus; ada yang bersyukur dan ada pula yang kafir.

| 4. | إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَلَاسِلَ وَأَغْلَالًا وَسَعِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | Inna aAAtadna lilkafireena salasila waaghlalan wasaAAeeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | For the Rejecters we have prepared chains, yokes, and a blazing Fire. |
| Shakir: | Surely We have prepared for the unbelievers chains and shackles and a burning fire. |
| Pickthall: | Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers manacles and carcans and a raging fire. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers iron chains, iron collars, and a blazing Fire. |
| French: | Nous avons préparé pour les infidèles des chaînes, des carcans et une fournaise ardente. |
| Spanish: | Para los infieles hemos preparado cadenas, argollas y fuego de gehena. |
| Indonesian: | Sesungguhnya Kami menyediakan bagi orang-orang kafir rantai, belenggu dan neraka yang menyala-nyala.

| 5. | إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِن كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا |
| Transliteration: | Inna alabrara yashraboona min kasin kana mizajuha kafooran |
| Yusuf Ali: | As to the Righteous, they shall drink of a Cup mixed with Kafur,- |
| Shakir: | Surely the righteous shall drink of a cup the admixture of which is camphor |
| Pickthall: | Lo! the righteous shall drink of a cup whereof the mixture is of Kafur, |
| Mohsin Khan: | Verily,, the Abrar (the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism), shall drink of a cup mixed with (water from a spring in Paradise called) Kafur |

| 6. | عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | AAaynan yashrabu biha AAibadu Allahi yufajjiroonaha tafjeeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | A Fountain where the Devotees of Allah do drink, making it flow in unstinted abundance. |
| Shakir: | A fountain from which the servants of Allah shall drink; they make it to flow a (goodly) flowing forth. |
| Pickthall: | A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah drink, making it gush forth abundantly, |
| Mohsin Khan: | A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah will drink, causing it to gush forth abundantly. |
| French: | d'une source de laquelle boiront les serviteurs d'Allah et ils la feront jaillir en abondance. |

| 7. | يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهُ مُسْتَطِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | Yoofoona bialnnathri wayakhafoona yawman kana sharruhu mustateeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | They perform (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil flies far and wide. |
| Shakir: | They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide. |
| Pickthall: | (Because) they perform the vow and fear a day whereof the evil is wide-spreading, |
| Mohsin Khan: | They (are those who) fulfil (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading. |
| French: | Ils accomplissent leurs vœux et ils redoutent un jour dont le mal s'étendra partout. |
| Spanish: | Fueron fieles a sus promesas y temieron un día cuyo mal será de alcance universal. |

| 8. | وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | WayutAAimona alttaAAama AAala hubbihi miskeenan wayateeman waaseeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive,- |
| Shakir: | And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive: |
| Pickthall: | And feed with food the needy wretch, the orphan and the prisoner, for love of Him, |
| Mohsin Khan: | And they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to the Miskin (the poor), the orphan, and the captive |
| French: | et offrent la nourriture, malgré son amour, au pauvre, à l'orphelin et au prisonnier, |
| Spanish: | Por mucho amor que tuvieran al alimento, se lo daban al pobre, al huérfano y al cautivo: |

| Russian: | Они дают пищу беднякам, сиротам и пленникам, несмотря на то, что она желанна и для них самих. |
| Bosnian: | i hranu su davali – mada su je i sami željeli – siromahu i siročetu i sužnju. |
| Urdu: | اور وہ اس کی محبت پرمسکین اور یتیم اور قیدی کو کھانا کھلاتے ہیں |

| 9. | إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمْ جَزَاءً وَلَا شُكُورًا |
| Transliteration: | Innama nutAAimukum liwajhi Allahi la nureedu minkum jazaan wala shukooran |
| Yusuf Ali: | (Saying),"We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks. |
| Shakir: | We only feed you for Allah's sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks: |
| Pickthall: | (Saying): We feed you, for the sake of Allah only. We wish for no reward nor thanks from you; |
| Mohsin Khan: | (Saying): "We feed you seeking Allah's Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you. |
| French: | (disant): «C'est pour le visage d'Allah que nous vous nourrissons: nous ne voulons de vous ni récompense ni gratitude. |
| Spanish: | «Os damos de comer sólo por agradar a Alá. No queremos de vosotros retribución ni gratitud. |
| Indonesian: | Sesungguhnya Kami memberi makanan kepadamu hanyalah untuk mengharapkan keridhaan Allah, kami tidak menghendaki balasan dari kamu dan tidak pula (ucapan) terima kasih.

| Malay:: | (Sambil berkata dengan lidah atau dengan hati): Sesungguhnya kami memberi makan kepada kamu kerana Allah semata-mata; kami tidak berkehendakkan sebarang balasan dari kamu atau ucapan terima kasih,

| German: | "Wir speisen euch nur um Allahs Angesicht willen. Wir wollen von euch weder Belohnung noch Dank. |

| 10. | إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوسًا قَمْطَرِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | Inna nakhafu min rabbina yawman AAaboosan qamtareeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | "We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath from the side of our Lord." |
| Shakir: | Surely we fear from our Lord a stern, distressful day. |
| Pickthall: | Lo! we fear from our Lord a day of frowning and of fate. |
| Mohsin Khan: | "Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislike to it)." |
| French: | Nous redoutons, de notre Seigneur, un jour terrible et catastrophique». |
| Spanish: | Tememos, de nuestro Señor, un día terrible, calamitoso». |
| Indonesian: | Sesungguhnya Kami takut akan (azab) Tuhan kami pada suatu hari yang (di hari itu) orang-orang bermuka masam penuh kesulitan.

| Malay:: | Kami sebenarnya takutkan Tuhan kami, takut Dia kenakan kami azab hari yang padanya muka orang-orang yang bersalah: Masam berkerut-kerut.

| German: | Wir fürchten ja von unserem Herrn einen Tag, der düster blicken läßt, einen unheilvollen." |
| Russian: | Мы боимся от своего Господа того Мрачного и Томительного дня». |
| Bosnian: | Mi se Gospodara našeg bojimo, onog Dana kada će lica smrknuta i namrgođena biti." |
| Urdu: | ہم تو اپنے رب سے ایک اداس (اور) ہولناک دن سے ڈرتے ہیں |
|
| 11. | فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا |
| Transliteration: | Fawaqahumu Allahu sharra thalika alyawmi walaqqahum nadratan wasurooran |
| Yusuf Ali: | But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and will shed over them a Light of Beauty and (blissful) Joy. |
| Shakir: | Therefore Allah win guard them from the evil of that day and cause them to meet with ease and happiness; |
| Pickthall: | Therefor Allah hath warded off from them the evil of that day, and hath made them find brightness and joy; |
| Mohsin Khan: | So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadrah (a light of beauty) and joy. |
| French: | Allah les protègera donc du mal de ce jour-là, et leur fera rencontrer la splendeur et la joie, |
| Spanish: | Alá les preservará del mal de ese día y les llenará de esplendor y alegría. |
| Indonesian: | Maka Tuhan memelihara mereka dari kesusahan hari itu, dan memberikan kepada mereka kejernihan (wajah) dan kegembiraan hati.

| Malay:: | Dengan sebab (mereka menjaga diri dari kesalahan), maka Allah selamatkan mereka dari kesengsaraan hari yang demikian keadaannya, serta memberikan kepada mereka keindahan yang berseri-seri (di muka) dan perasaan ria gembira (di hati).
|
| German: | So bewahrt sie Allah vor dem Übel jenes Tages und wird ihnen strahlendes Glück und Freude darbieten |
| Russian: | Аллах защитит их от зла того дня и одарит их процветанием и радостью. |
| Bosnian: | I njih će Allah strahote toga Dana sačuvati i blaženstvo i radost im darovati |
| Urdu: | پس الله اس دن کی مصیبت سے انہیں بچا لے گا اور ان کے سامنے تازگی اور خوشی لائے گا |

| 12. | وَجَزَاهُم بِمَا صَبَرُوا جَنَّةً وَحَرِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | Wajazahum bima sabaroo jannatan wahareeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and (garments of) silk. |
| Shakir: | And reward them, because they were patient, with garden and silk, |
| Pickthall: | And hath awarded them for all that they endured, a Garden and silk attire; |
| Mohsin Khan: | And their recompense shall be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient. |
| French: | et les rétribuera pour ce qu'ils auront enduré, en leur donnant le Paradis et des [vêtements] de soie, |
| Spanish: | Les retribuira, por haber tenido paciencia, con un Jardín y con vestiduras de seda. |
| Indonesian: | Dan Dia memberi balasan kepada mereka karena kesabaran mereka (dengan) surga dan (pakaian) sutera,

| Malay:: | Dan kerana kesabaran mereka (mengerjakan suruhan Allah dan meninggalkan laranganNya), mereka dibalas oleh Allah dengan Syurga dan (persalinan dari) sutera.

| German: | und ihnen vergelten, daß sie standhaft gewesen sind, mit einem Garten und mit Seide, |
| Russian: | А за то, что они проявили терпение, Он воздаст им Райскими садами и шелками. |
| Bosnian: | i Džennetom i svilom ih za ono što su trpjeli nagraditi: |
| Urdu: | اوران کے صبر کے بدلے ان کو جنت اور ریشمی پوشاکیں دے گا |

| 13. | مُّتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ ۖ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسًا وَلَا زَمْهَرِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | Muttakieena feeha AAala alaraiki la yarawna feeha shamsan wala zamhareeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | Reclining in the (Garden) on raised thrones, they will see there neither the sun's (excessive heat) nor (the moon's) excessive cold. |
| Shakir: | Reclining therein on raised couches, they shall find therein neither (the severe heat of) the sun nor intense cold. |
| Pickthall: | Reclining therein upon couches, they will find there neither (heat of) a sun nor bitter cold. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Reclining therein on raised thrones, they will see there neither the excessive heat of the sun, nor the excessive bitter cold, (as in Paradise there is no sun and no moon). |
| French: | ils y seront accoudés sur des divans, n'y voyant ni soleil ni froid glacial. |
| Spanish: | Reclinados allí en sofás, estarán resguardados allí del calor y del frío excesivo. |
| Indonesian: | di dalamnya mereka duduk bertelekan di atas dipan, mereka tidak merasakan di dalamnya (teriknya) matahari dan tidak pula dingin yang bersangatan.

| Malay:: | Mereka berehat di dalam Syurga dengan berbaring di atas pelamin-pelamin (yang berhias), mereka tidak nampak di situ adanya matahari (usahkan hawa panasnya), dan tidak juga merasai suasana yang terlampau sejuk;
|
| German: | worin sie sich auf überdachten Liegen lehnen, und worin sie weder (heiße) Sonne noch bittere Kälte wahrnehmen werden. |
| Russian: | Они будут лежать на ложах, прислонившись, и не увидят там ни солнца, ни стужи. |
| Bosnian: | naslonjeni na divanima, oni u njemu ni mraz ni žegu neće osjetiti, |
| Urdu: | اس میں تختوں پر تکیہ لگائے ہوئے ہوں گے نہ وہاں دھوپ دیکھیں گے اور نہ سردی |

| 14. | وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلَالُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًا |
| Transliteration: | Wadaniyatan AAalayhim thilaluha wathullilat qutoofuha tathleelan |
| Yusuf Ali: | And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility. |
| Shakir: | And close down upon them (shall be) its shadows, and its fruits shall be made near (to them), being easy to reach. |
| Pickthall: | The shade thereof is close upon them and the clustered fruits thereof bow down. |
| Mohsin Khan: | And the shade thereof is close upon them, and the bunches of fruit thereof will hang low within their reach. |
| French: | Ses ombrages les couvriront de près, et ses fruits inclinés bien bas [à portée de leurs mains]. |

| 15. | وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِآنِيَةٍ مِّن فِضَّةٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا |
| Transliteration: | Wayutafu AAalayhim bianiyatin min fiddatin waakwabin kanat qawareera |
| Yusuf Ali: | And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and goblets of crystal,- |
| Shakir: | And there shall be made to go round about them vessels of silver and goblets which are of glass, |
| Pickthall: | Goblets of silver are brought round for them, and beakers (as) of glass |
| Mohsin Khan: | And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and cups of crystal - |

| 16. | قَوَارِيرَ مِن فِضَّةٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | Qawareera min fiddatin qaddarooha taqdeeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | Crystal-clear, made of silver: they will determine the measure thereof (according to their wishes). |
| Shakir: | (Transparent as) glass, made of silver; they have measured them according to a measure. |
| Pickthall: | (Bright as) glass but (made) of silver, which they (themselves) have measured to the measure (of their deeds). |
| Mohsin Khan: | Crystal-clear, made of silver. They will determine the measure thereof (according to their wishes). |

| 17. | وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِيلًا |
| Transliteration: | Wayusqawna feeha kasan kana mizajuha zanjabeelan |
| Yusuf Ali: | And they will be given to drink there of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Zanjabil,- |
| Shakir: | And they shall be made to drink therein a cup the admixture of which shall be ginger, |
| Pickthall: | There are they watered with a cup whereof the mixture is of Zanjabil, |
| Mohsin Khan: | And they will be given to drink there of a cup (of wine) mixed with Zanjabil (ginger), |

| 18. | عَيْنًا فِيهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلْسَبِيلًا |
| Transliteration: | AAaynan feeha tusamma salsabeelan |
| Yusuf Ali: | A fountain there, called Salsabil. |
| Shakir: | (Of) a fountain therein which is named Salsabil. |
| Pickthall: | (The water of) a spring therein, named Salsabil. |
| Mohsin Khan: | A spring there, called Salsabil. |
| French: | puisé là-dedans à une source qui s'appelle Salsabîl. |

| 19. | ۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْتَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤًا مَّنثُورًا |
| Transliteration: | Wayatoofu AAalayhim wildanun mukhalladoona itha raaytahum hasibtahum luluan manthooran |
| Yusuf Ali: | And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): If thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered Pearls. |
| Shakir: | And round about them shall go youths never altering in age; when you see them you will think them to be scattered pearls. |
| Pickthall: | There wait on them immortal youths, whom, when thou seest, thou wouldst take for scattered pearls. |
| Mohsin Khan: | And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls. |
| French: | Et parmi eux, circuleront des garçons éternellement jeunes. Quand tu les verras, tu les prendras pour des perles éparpillées. |

| 20. | وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًا وَمُلْكًا كَبِيرًا |
| Transliteration: | Waitha raayta thamma raayta naAAeeman wamulkan kabeeran |
| Yusuf Ali: | And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent. |
| Shakir: | And when you see there, you shall see blessings and a great kingdom. |
| Pickthall: | When thou seest, thou wilt see there bliss and high estate. |
| Mohsin Khan: | And when you look there (in Paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion. |
| French: | Et quand tu regarderas là-bas, tu verras un délice et un vaste royaume. |
| Spanish: | Cuando se mira allá, no se ve sino delicia y suntuosidad. |
| Indonesian: | Dan apabila kamu melihat di sana (surga), niscaya kamu akan melihat berbagai macam keni'matan dan kerajaan yang besar.

| 21. | عَالِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُندُسٍ خُضْرٌ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٌ ۖ وَحُلُّوا أَسَاوِرَ مِن فِضَّةٍ وَسَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُورًا |
| Transliteration: | AAaliyahum thiyabu sundusin khudrun waistabraqun wahulloo asawira min fiddatin wasaqahum rabbuhum sharaban tahooran |
| Yusuf Ali: | Upon them will be green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy. |
| Shakir: | Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and thick silk interwoven with gold, and they shall be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall make them drink a pure drink. |
| Pickthall: | Their raiment will be fine green silk and gold embroidery. Bracelets of silver will they wear. Their Lord will slake their thirst with a pure drink. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Their garments will be of fine green silk, and gold embroidery. They will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a pure drink. |
| French: | Ils porteront des vêtements verts de satin et de brocart. Et ils seront parés de bracelets d'argent. Et leur Seigneur les abreuvera d'une boisson très pure. |

| Indonesian: | Mereka memakai pakaian sutera halus yang hijau dan sutera tebal dan dipakaikan kepada mereka gelang terbuat dari perak, dan Tuhan memberikan kepada mereka minuman yang bersih.

| Malay:: | Mereka di dalam Syurga memakai pakaian hijau yang diperbuat dari sutera halus dan sutera tebal (yang bertekat), serta mereka dihiasi dengan gelang-gelang tangan dari perak dan mereka diberi minum oleh Tuhan mereka dengan sejenis minuman (yang lain) yang bersih suci.

| German: | Auf ihnen werden grüne Gewänder aus Seidenbrokat sein und schwerer Brokat, und geschmückt werden sie sein mit Armreifen aus Silber. Und zu trinken wird ihr Herr ihnen ein reines" Getränk geben. |
| Russian: | На них будут зеленые одеяния из атласа и парчи. Они будут украшены серебряными браслетами, а Господь их напоит их чистым напитком. |
| Bosnian: | Na njima će biti odijela od tanke zelene svile, i od teške svile, nakićeni narukvicama od srebra, i daće im Gospodar njihov da piju čisto piće. |

| 22. | إِنَّ هَـٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَاءً وَكَانَ سَعْيُكُم مَّشْكُورًا |
| Transliteration: | Inna hatha kana lakum jazaan wakana saAAyukum mashkooran |
| Yusuf Ali: | "Verily this is a Reward for you, and your Endeavour is accepted and recognised." |
| Shakir: | Surely this is a reward for you, and your striving shall be recompensed. |
| Pickthall: | (And it will be said unto them): Lo! this is a reward for you. Your endeavour (upon earth) hath found acceptance. |
| Mohsin Khan: | (And it will be said to them): "Verily, this is a reward for you, and your endeavour has been accepted." |
| French: | Cela sera pour vous une récompense, et votre effort sera reconnu. |
| Spanish: | «Esto se os ha dado como retribución. Vuestro esfuerzo ha sido agradecido». |
| Indonesian: | Sesungguhnya ini adalah balasan untukmu, dan usahamu adalah disyukuri (diberi balasan).

| Malay:: | (Serta dikatakan kepada mereka): Sesungguhnya (segala pemberian) ini adalah untuk kamu sebagai balasan dan adalah usaha amal kamu (di dunia dahulu) diterima dan dihargai (oleh Allah).

| 23. | إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ تَنزِيلًا |
| Transliteration: | Inna nahnu nazzalna AAalayka alqurana tanzeelan |
| Yusuf Ali: | It is We Who have sent down the Qur'an to thee by stages. |
| Shakir: | Surely We Ourselves have revealed the Quran to you revealing (it) in portions. |
| Pickthall: | Lo! We, even We, have revealed unto thee the Qur'an, a revelation; |
| Mohsin Khan: | Verily, it is We Who have sent down the Qur'an to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) by stages. |
| French: | En vérité c'est Nous qui avons fait descendre sur toi le Coran graduellement. |
| Spanish: | Somos Nosotros Quienes te llemos revelado el Corán de hecho. |
| Indonesian: | Sesungguhnya Kami telah menurunkan Al Qur'an kepadamu (hai Muhammad) dengan berangsur-angsur.

| Malay:: | Sesungguhnya Kami telah menurunkan Al-Quran kepadamu (wahai Muhammad), dengan beransur-ansur.

| German: | Gewiß, Wir sind es, die Wir dir den Qur'an offenbart, ja offenbart haben. |
| Russian: | Воистину, Мы ниспослали тебе Коран частями. |
| Bosnian: | Od vremena do vremena Mi objavljujemo Kur'an tebi, |
| Urdu: | بےشک ہم نےہی آپ پر یہ قرآن تھوڑا تھوڑا اتارا ہے |

| 24. | فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ آثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًا |
| Transliteration: | Faisbir lihukmi rabbika wala tutiAA minhum athiman aw kafooran |
| Yusuf Ali: | Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord, and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them. |
| Shakir: | Therefore wait patiently for the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them a sinner or an ungrateful one. |
| Pickthall: | So submit patiently to thy Lord's command, and obey not of them any guilty one or disbeliever. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Therefore be patient (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with constancy to the Command of your Lord (Allah, by doing your duty to Him and by conveying His Message to mankind), and obey neither a sinner nor a disbeliever among them. |
| French: | Endure donc ce que ton Seigneur a décrété, et n'obéis ni au pécheur, parmi eux, ni au grand mécréant. |
| Spanish: | Espera, pues, paciente, la decisión f de tu Señor y no obedezcas a quien de ellos sea pecador o desagradecido. |
| Indonesian: | Maka bersabarlah kamu untuk (melaksanakan) ketetapan Tuhanmu, dan janganlah kamu ikuti orang yang berdosa dan orang yang kafir di antara mereka.

| Malay:: | Oleh itu hendaklah engkau bersabar menerima hukum Tuhanmu (memberi tempoh kepada golongan yang menentangmu) dan janganlah engkau menurut kehendak orang yang berdosa di antara mereka atau orang yang kufur ingkar.

| German: | So sei standhaft in Bezug auf das Urteil deines Herrn, und gehorche von ihnen keinem Sündhaften oder sehr Undankbaren. |
| Russian: | Потерпи же до решения твоего Господа и не повинуйся грешникам и неверующим среди них. |
| Bosnian: | zato izdrži do odluke Gospodara tvoga, i ne slušaj ni grješnika ni nevjernika njihova! |
| Urdu: | پھر آپ اپنے رب کے حکم کا انتظار کیاکر یں اوران میں سے کسی بدکار یا ناشکرے کا کہا نہ مانا کریں |

| 25. | وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا |
| Transliteration: | Waothkuri isma rabbika bukratan waaseelan |
| Yusuf Ali: | And celebrate the name of thy Lord morning and evening, |
| Shakir: | And glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening. |
| Pickthall: | Remember the name of thy Lord at morn and evening. |
| Mohsin Khan: | And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers]. |
| French: | Et invoque le nom de ton Seigneur, matin et après-midi; |
| Spanish: | ¡Y menciona el nombre de tu Señor mañana y tarde! |
| Indonesian: | Dan sebutlah nama Tuhanmu pada (waktu) pagi dan petang.

| Malay:: | Dan sebutlah dengan lidah atau dengan hati akan nama Tuhanmu (di dalam dan di luar sembahyang), pada waktu pagi dan petang;

| German: | Und gedenke des Namens deines Herrn morgens und abends, |

| Bosnian: | I spominji ime Gospodara svoga ujutro i predvečer, |
| Urdu: | اوراپنے رب کا نام صبح اور شام یاد کیا کریں |

| 26. | وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَهُ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا |
| Transliteration: | Wamina allayli faosjud lahu wasabbihhu laylan taweelan |
| Yusuf Ali: | And part of the night, prostrate thyself to Him; and glorify Him a long night through. |
| Shakir: | And during part of the night adore Him, and give glory to Him (a) long (part of the) night. |
| Pickthall: | And worship Him (a portion) of the night. And glorify Him through the livelong night. |
| Mohsin Khan: | And during night, prostrate yourself to Him (i.e. the offering of Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers), and glorify Him a long night through (i.e. Tahajjud prayer). |
| French: | et prosterne-toi devant Lui une partie de la nuit; et glorifie-Le de longues [heures] pendant la nuit. |
| Spanish: | ¡Por la noche, prostérnate ante Él! ¡Glorifícale largamente por la noche! |
| Indonesian: | Dan pada sebagian dari malam, maka sujudlah kepada-Nya dan bertasbihlah kepada-Nya pada bagian yang panjang di malam hari.

| Malay:: | Dan (dengan apa keadaan pun maka) pada sebahagian dari waktu malam sujudlah kepada Tuhan (dengan mengerjakan sembahyang) dan (seboleh-bolehnya) bertasbihlah memujiNya (dengan mengerjakan sembahyang Tahajjud), pada sebahagian yang panjang dari waktu malam.

| German: | und in (einem Teil) der Nacht, da wirf dich vor Ihm nieder und preise Ihn lange Zeit zur Nacht. |
| Russian: | а также ночью. Падай ниц пред Ним и славь Его долгой ночью. |
| Bosnian: | i u jednom dijelu noći radi Njega molitvu obavljaj, i dugo Ga noću hvali! |
| Urdu: | اورکچھ حصہ رات میں بھی اس کو سجدہ کیجیئے اوررات میں دیر تک اس کی تسبیح کیجیئے |

| 27. | إِنَّ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ يُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَاءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا |
| Transliteration: | Inna haolai yuhibboona alAAajilata wayatharoona waraahum yawman thaqeelan |
| Yusuf Ali: | As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard. |
| Shakir: | Surely these love the transitory and neglect a grievous day before them. |
| Pickthall: | Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Verily, these (disbelievers) love the present life of this world, and put behind them a heavy Day (that will be hard). |
| French: | Ces gens-là aiment [la vie] éphémère (la vie sur terre) et laissent derrière eux un jour bien lourd [le Jour du Jugement]. |
| Spanish: | Éstos aman la vida fugaz y descuidan un día grave. |
| Indonesian: | Sesungguhnya mereka (orang kafir) menyukai kehidupan dunia dan mereka tidak memperdulikan kesudahan mereka, pada hari yang berat ( hari akhirat).

| Malay:: | Sesungguhnya orang-orang (yang menentangmu) itu sentiasa mencintai (kesenangan dan kemewahan dunia) yang cepat habisnya, serta mereka membelakangkan (tidak menghiraukan bekalan) untuk hari akhirat yang amat berat (penderitaannya kepada orang-orang yang tidak bertakwa).

| German: | Diese da lieben ja das schnell Eintreffende und lassen hinter sich einen schwer lastenden Tag. |
| Russian: | Воистину, эти любят жизнь ближнюю и оставляют позади себя Тяжкий день. |
| Bosnian: | A ovi, oni život na ovom svijetu vole doista, a ništa ih se ne tiče Dan tegobni, koji ih čeka. |
| Urdu: | بے شک یہ لوگ دنیا کو چاہتے ہیں اور اپنے پیچھے ایک بھاری دن کو چھوڑتے ہیں |
|
| 28. | نَّحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا |
| Transliteration: | Nahnu khalaqnahum washadadna asrahum waitha shina baddalna amthalahum tabdeelan |
| Yusuf Ali: | It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong; but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change. |
| Shakir: | We created them and made firm their make, and when We please We will bring in their place the likes of them by a change. |
| Pickthall: | We, even We, created them, and strengthened their frame. And when We will, We can replace them, bringing others like them in their stead. |
| Mohsin Khan: | It is We Who created them, and We have made them of strong built. And when We will, We can replace them with others like them with a complete replacement. |

| Indonesian: | Kami telah menciptakan mereka dan menguatkan persendian tubuh mereka, apabila Kami menghendaki, Kami sungguh-sungguh mengganti (mereka) dengan orang-orang yang serupa dengan mereka.

| Malay:: | Kamilah yang menciptakan mereka serta menguatkan tulang sendi dan urat saraf mereka; (Kami berkuasa membinasakan mereka) dan apabila Kami kehendaki, Kami gantikan (mereka dengan) orang-orang yang serupa dengan mereka, dengan penggantian yang sebaik-baiknya.

| 29. | إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۖ فَمَن شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا |
| Transliteration: | Inna hathihi tathkiratun faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeelan |
| Yusuf Ali: | This is an admonition: Whosoever will, let him take a (straight) Path to his Lord. |
| Shakir: | Surely this is a reminder, so whoever pleases takes to his Lord a way. |
| Pickthall: | Lo! this is an Admonishment, that whosoever will may choose a way unto his Lord. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Verily, this (Verse of the Qur'an) is an admonition, so whosoever wills, let him take a Path to his Lord (Allah). |
| French: | Ceci est un rappel. Que celui qui veut prenne donc le chemin vers son Seigneur! |

| German: | Gewiß, dies ist eine Erinnerung; wer nun will, nimmt (so diesen) einen Weg zu seinem Herrn. |
| Russian: | Воистину, это есть Назидание, и тот, кто желает, становится на путь к своему Господу. |
| Bosnian: | Ovo je pouka, pa ko hoće držaće se puta koji Gospodaru njegovu vodi – |
| Urdu: | بے شک یہ ایک نصیحت ہے پس جو کوئی چاہے اپنے رب کی طرف راستہ اختیار کرے |

| 30. | وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَن يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا |
| Transliteration: | Wama tashaoona illa an yashaa Allahu inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman |
| Yusuf Ali: | But ye will not, except as Allah wills; for Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom. |
| Shakir: | And you do not please except that Allah please, surely Allah is Knowing, Wise; |
| Pickthall: | Yet ye will not, unless Allah willeth. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise. |
| Mohsin Khan: | But you cannot will, unless Allah wills. Verily, Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise. |
| French: | Cependant, vous ne saurez vouloir, à moins qu'Allah veuille. Et Allah est Omniscient et Sage. |
| Spanish: | Pero vosotros no lo querréis, a menos que Alá quiera. Alá es omnisciente, sabio. |
| Indonesian: | Dan kamu tidak mampu (menempuh jalan itu), kecuali bila dikehendaki Allah. Sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Bijaksana.

| 31. | يُدْخِلُ مَن يَشَاءُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَالظَّالِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا |
| Transliteration: | Yudkhilu man yashao fee rahmatihi waalththalimeena aAAadda lahum AAathaban aleeman |
| Yusuf Ali: | He will admit to His Mercy whom He will; But the wrong-doers,- for them has He prepared a grievous Penalty. |
| Shakir: | He makes whom He pleases to enter into His mercy; and (as for) the unjust, He has prepared for them a painful chastisement. |
| Pickthall: | He maketh whom He will to enter His mercy, and for evil-doers hath prepared a painful doom. |
| Mohsin Khan: | He will admit to His Mercy whom He wills and as for the Zalimun - (polytheists, wrong-doers) He has prepared a painful torment. |
| French: | Il fait entrer qui Il veut dans Sa miséricorde. Et quant aux injustes, Il leur a préparé un châtiment douloureux. |
| Spanish: | lntroduce en Su misericordia a quien Él quiere. Pero a los impíos les ha preparado un castigo doloroso. |
| Indonesian: | Dia memasukkan siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya ke dalam rahmat-Nya (surga). Dan bagi orang-orang zalim disediakan-Nya azab yang pedih.
