Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
31.وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَـٰذَا الْقُرْآنُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنَ الْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ
Transliteration:Waqaloo lawla nuzzila hatha alquranu AAala rajulin mina alqaryatayni AAatheemun
Yusuf Ali:Also, they say: "Why is not this Qur'an sent down to some leading man in either of the two (chief) cities?"
Shakir:And they say: Why was not this Quran revealed to a man of importance in the two towns?
Pickthall:And they say: If only this Qur'an had been revealed to some great man of the two towns?
Mohsin Khan:And they say: "Why is not this Qur'an sent down to some great man of the two towns (Makkah and Ta'if)?"
Saheeh:And they said, "Why was this Qur'an not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?"
Urdu:اور کہا کیوں یہ قرآن ان دو بستیوں کےکسی سردار پر نازل نہیں کیا گیا
