| 24. | هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ |
| Transliteration: | Hal ataka hadeethu dayfi ibraheema almukrameena |
| Yusuf Ali: | Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? |
| Shakir: | Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? |
| Pickthall: | Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? |
| Mohsin Khan: | Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibril (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? |
| Saheeh: | Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - |
| Urdu: | کیا آپ کو ابراھیم کے معزز مہمانوں کی بات پہنچی ہے |

| 25. | إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ |
| Transliteration: | Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroona |
| Yusuf Ali: | Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." |
| Shakir: | When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. |
| Pickthall: | When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). |
| Mohsin Khan: | When they came in to him and said: "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered: "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me." |
| Saheeh: | When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. |
| Urdu: | جب کہ وہ اس پر داخل ہوئے پھر انہوں نے سلام کیا ابراھیم نے سوال کا جواب دیا (خیال کیا) کچھ اجنبی سے لوگ ہیں |

| 26. | فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ |
| Transliteration: | Faragha ila ahlihi fajaa biAAijlin sameenin |
| Yusuf Ali: | Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, |
| Shakir: | Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, |
| Pickthall: | Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf; |
| Mohsin Khan: | Then he turned to his household, and brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. |
| Saheeh: | Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf |
| Urdu: | پس چپکے سے اپنے گھر والوں کے پاس گیا اور ایک موٹا بچھڑا (تلا ہوا) لایا |

| 27. | فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ |
| Transliteration: | Faqarrabahu ilayhim qala ala takuloona |
| Yusuf Ali: | And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" |
| Shakir: | So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? |
| Pickthall: | And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? |
| Mohsin Khan: | And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" |
| Saheeh: | And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" |
| Urdu: | پھر ان کے سامنے لا رکھا فرمایا کیا تم کھاتے نہیں |

| 28. | فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ |
| Transliteration: | Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleemin |
| Yusuf Ali: | (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. |
| Shakir: | So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. |
| Pickthall: | Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Then he conceived fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of a son having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). |
| Saheeh: | And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. |
| Urdu: | پھر ان سے خوف محسوس کیا انہوں نے کہا تم ڈرو نہیں اور انہوں نے اسے ایک دانشمند لڑکے کی خوشخبری دی |

| 29. | فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ |
| Transliteration: | Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkat wajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeemun |
| Yusuf Ali: | But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" |
| Shakir: | Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! |
| Pickthall: | Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! |
| Mohsin Khan: | Then his wife came forward with a loud voice: she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!" |
| Saheeh: | And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" |
| Urdu: | پھر ان کی بیوی شور مچاتی ہوئی آگے بڑھی اور اپنا ماتھا پیٹ کر کہنے لگی کیا بڑھیا بانجھ جنے گی |

| 30. | قَالُوا كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ |
| Transliteration: | Qaloo kathaliki qala rabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleemu |
| Yusuf Ali: | They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." |
| Shakir: | They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. |
| Pickthall: | They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. |
| Mohsin Khan: | They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." |
| Saheeh: | They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." |
| Urdu: | انہوں نے کہا تیرے رب نے یونہی فرمایا ہے بے شک وہ حکمت والا دانا ہے |

| 31. | ۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ |
| Transliteration: | Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloona |
| Yusuf Ali: | (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" |
| Shakir: | He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! |
| Pickthall: | (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? |
| Mohsin Khan: | [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" |
| Saheeh: | [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" |
| Urdu: | فرمایا اے رسولو! تمہارا کیا مطلب ہے |

| 32. | قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ |
| Transliteration: | Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeena |
| Yusuf Ali: | They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- |
| Shakir: | They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people, |
| Pickthall: | They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, |
| Mohsin Khan: | They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah) |
| Saheeh: | They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals |
| Urdu: | انہوں نے کہا ہم ایک مجرم قوم کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں |

| 33. | لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ |
| Transliteration: | Linursila AAalayhim hijaratan min teenin |
| Yusuf Ali: | "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), |
| Shakir: | That we may send down upon them stone of clay, |
| Pickthall: | That we may send upon them stones of clay, |
| Mohsin Khan: | To send down upon them stones of baked clay. |
| Saheeh: | To send down upon them stones of clay, |
| Urdu: | تاکہ ہم ان پر مٹی کے پتھر برسائیں |
|
| 34. | مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ |
| Transliteration: | Musawwamatan AAinda rabbika lilmusrifeena |
| Yusuf Ali: | "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." |
| Shakir: | Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant. |
| Pickthall: | Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners - those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). |
| Saheeh: | Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." |
| Urdu: | وہ آپ کے رب کی طرف حدسے بڑھنے والوں کے لیے مقرر ہو چکے ہیں |
