14. | فَإِذَا هُم بِالسَّاهِرَةِ |
Transliteration: | Faitha hum bialssahirati |
Yusuf Ali: | When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). |
Shakir: | When lo! they shall be wakeful. |
Pickthall: | And lo! they will be awakened. |
Mohsin Khan: | When behold, they find themselves on the surface of the earth alive after their death, |
Saheeh: | And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. |
Urdu: | پس وہ اسی وقت میدان میں آ موجود ہوں گے |

15. | هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰ |
Transliteration: | Hal ataka hadeethu moosa |
Yusuf Ali: | Has the story of Moses reached thee? |
Shakir: | Has not there come to you the story of Musa? |
Pickthall: | Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? |
Mohsin Khan: | Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? |
Saheeh: | Has there reached you the story of Moses? - |
Urdu: | کیا آپ کو موسیٰ کا حال معلوم ہوا ہے |

16. | إِذْ نَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى |
Transliteration: | Ith nadahu rabbuhu bialwadi almuqaddasi tuwan |
Yusuf Ali: | Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- |
Shakir: | When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, |
Pickthall: | How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, |
Mohsin Khan: | When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, |
Saheeh: | When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, |
Urdu: | جب کہ مقدس وادی طویٰ میں اس کے رب نے اسےپکارا |

17. | اذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ |
Transliteration: | Ithhab ila firAAawna innahu tagha |
Yusuf Ali: | "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: |
Shakir: | Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. |
Pickthall: | (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - |
Mohsin Khan: | Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh); verily he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief). |
Saheeh: | "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. |
Urdu: | فرعون کے پاس جاؤ کیونکہ اس نے سرکشی کی ہے |

18. | فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ |
Transliteration: | Faqul hal laka ila an tazakka |
Yusuf Ali: | "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- |
Shakir: | Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: |
Pickthall: | And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? |
Mohsin Khan: | And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)?" |
Saheeh: | And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself |
Urdu: | پس کہو کیا تیری خواہش ہے کہ تو پاک ہو |

19. | وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ |
Transliteration: | Waahdiyaka ila rabbika fatakhsha |
Yusuf Ali: | "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" |
Shakir: | And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. |
Pickthall: | Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). |
Mohsin Khan: | "And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him?" |
Saheeh: | And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" |
Urdu: | اور میں تجھے تیرے رب کی طرف راہ بتاؤں کہ تو ڈرے |

20. | فَأَرَاهُ الْآيَةَ الْكُبْرَىٰ |
Transliteration: | Faarahu alayata alkubra |
Yusuf Ali: | Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. |
Shakir: | So he showed him the mighty sign. |
Pickthall: | And he showed him the tremendous token. |
Mohsin Khan: | Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). |
Saheeh: | And he showed him the greatest sign, |
Urdu: | پس اس نے اس کو بڑی نشانی دکھائی |

21. | فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ |
Transliteration: | Fakaththaba waAAasa |
Yusuf Ali: | But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); |
Shakir: | But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. |
Pickthall: | But he denied and disobeyed, |
Mohsin Khan: | But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed. |
Saheeh: | But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. |
Urdu: | تو اس نے جھٹلایا اور نافرمانی کی |

22. | ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ |
Transliteration: | Thumma adbara yasAAa |
Yusuf Ali: | Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). |
Shakir: | Then he went back hastily. |
Pickthall: | Then turned he away in haste, |
Mohsin Khan: | Then he turned his back, striving (against Allah). |
Saheeh: | Then he turned his back, striving. |
Urdu: | پھر کوشش کرتا ہوا واپس لوٹا |

23. | فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ |
Transliteration: | Fahashara fanada |
Yusuf Ali: | Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, |
Shakir: | Then he gathered (men) and called out. |
Pickthall: | Then gathered he and summoned |
Mohsin Khan: | Then he gathered (his people) and cried aloud, |
Saheeh: | And he gathered [his people] and called out |
Urdu: | پھر اس نے سب کو جمع کیا پھر پکارا |
|
24. | فَقَالَ أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْأَعْلَىٰ |
Transliteration: | Faqala ana rabbukumu alaAAla |
Yusuf Ali: | Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". |
Shakir: | Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. |
Pickthall: | And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." |
Mohsin Khan: | Saying: "I am your lord, most high." |
Saheeh: | And said, "I am your most exalted lord." |
Urdu: | پھر کہا کہ میں تمہارا سب سے برتر رب ہوں |
|
25. | فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَىٰ |
Transliteration: | Faakhathahu Allahu nakala alakhirati waaloola |
Yusuf Ali: | But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. |
Shakir: | So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. |
Pickthall: | So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. |
Mohsin Khan: | So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last and first transgression. [Tafsir At-Tabari] |
Saheeh: | So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. |
Urdu: | پھر الله نے اس کو آخرت اور دنیا کے عذاب میں پکڑ لیا |
