283 | ۞ وَإِن كُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ وَلَمْ تَجِدُوا كَاتِبًا فَرِهَانٌ مَّقْبُوضَةٌ ۖ فَإِنْ أَمِنَ بَعْضُكُم بَعْضًا فَلْيُؤَدِّ الَّذِي اؤْتُمِنَ أَمَانَتَهُ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ رَبَّهُ ۗ وَلَا تَكْتُمُوا الشَّهَادَةَ ۚ وَمَن يَكْتُمْهَا فَإِنَّهُ آثِمٌ قَلْبُهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ |
| | | | Transliteration 283: | Wain kuntum AAala safarin walam tajidoo katiban farihanun maqboodatun fain amina baAAdukum baAAdan falyuaddi allathee itumina amanatahu walyattaqi Allaha rabbahu wala taktumoo alshshahadata waman yaktumha fainnahu athimun qalbuhu waAllahu bima taAAmaloona AAaleemun |
| | | | Yusuf Ali 283: | If ye are on a journey, and cannot find a scribe, a pledge with possession (may serve the purpose). And if one of you deposits a thing on trust with another, Let the trustee (Faithfully) discharge His trust, and let him fear his Lord. Conceal not evidence; for whoever conceals it,- His heart is tainted with sin. And Allah Knoweth all that ye do. |
| | | | Urdu 283: | اور اگر تم سفر میں ہو اور کوئی لکھنے والا نہ پاؤ تو گروی پر قبضہ کیا جائے اور اگر ایک تم میں سے دوسرے پر اعتبار کرے تو چاہیئے کہ کہ وہ شخص امانت ادا کردے جس پر اعتبار کیا گیا اور اپنے الله سے ڈرے جو اس کا رب ہے اور گواہی کو نہ چھپاؤ اور جو شخص اسے چھپائے گا تو بے شک اس کا دل گناہگار ہے اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو الله خوب جانتا ہے |
