138	وَجَاوَزْنَا بِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْبَحْرَ فَأَتَوْا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ يَعْكُفُونَ عَلَىٰ أَصْنَامٍ لَّهُمْ ۚ قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى اجْعَل لَّنَا إِلَـٰهًا كَمَا لَهُمْ آلِهَةٌ ۚ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُونَ

Transliteration 138:

Wajawazna bibanee israeela albahra faataw AAala qawmin yaAAkufoona AAala asnamin lahum qaloo ya moosa ijAAal lana ilahan kama lahum alihatun qala innakum qawmun tajhaloona

Yusuf Ali 138:

We took the Children of Israel (with safety) across the sea. They came upon a people devoted entirely to some idols they had. They said: "O Moses! fashion for us a god like unto the gods they have." He said: "Surely ye are a people without knowledge.

Urdu 138:

اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو دریا سے پار اتارا تو ایک ایسی قوم پر پہنچے جو اپنے بتوں کے پوجنے میں لگے ہوئے تھے کہا اے موسیٰ ہمیں بھی ایک ایسا معبود بنا دے جیسے ان کے معبود ہیں فرمایا بے شک تم لوگ جاہل ہو
