114 | وَمَا كَانَ اسْتِغْفَارُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ إِلَّا عَن مَّوْعِدَةٍ وَعَدَهَا إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ لِّلَّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَأَوَّاهٌ حَلِيمٌ |
| | | | Transliteration 114: | Wama kana istighfaru ibraheema liabeehi illa AAan mawAAidatin waAAadaha iyyahu falamma tabayyana lahu annahu AAaduwwun lillahi tabarraa minhu inna ibraheema laawwahun haleemun |
| | | | Yusuf Ali 114: | And Abraham prayed for his father's forgiveness only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became clear to him that he was an enemy to Allah, he dissociated himself from him: for Abraham was most tender-hearted, forbearing. |
| | | | Urdu 114: | اور ابراھیم کا اپنے باپ کے لیے بخشش کی دعا کرنا اور ایک وعدہ کے سبب سے تھا جو وہ اس سے کر چکے تھے پھر جب انہیں معلوم ہوا کہ وہ الله کا دشمن ہے تو اس سے بیزار ہو گئے بے شک ابراھیم بڑے نرم دل تحمل والے تھے |
