(51) Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your Ilah (god) is one Ilah (god - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith - Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikun (the polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the oneness of Allah).

(52) Or have they taken (for worship) Auliya' (guardians, supporters, helpers, protectors, lords, gods) besides Him? But Allah - He Alone is the Wali (Lord, god, Protector). And it is He Who gives life to the dead, and He is Able to do all things.

(53) Or have they partners with Allah (false gods) who have instituted for them a religion which Allah has not ordained? And had it not been for a decisive Word (gone forth already), the matter would have been judged between them. And verily, for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) there is a painful torment.

(54) "Verily, Allah! He is my Lord (god) and your Lord (god). So worship Him (Alone). This is the (only) Straight Path (i.e. Allah's religion of true Islamic Monotheism)."

(55) They said: "Have you come to turn us away from our alihah (gods)? Then bring us that with which you threaten us, if you are one of the truthful!"

(56) And set not up (or worship not) any other ilah (god) along with Allah [Glorified be He (Alone), Exalted above all that they associate as partners with Him]. Verily, I (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) am a plain warner to you from Him.

(57) And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the one, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (god) along with Him, and He is the one Who forgives (sins).
