(7) "Indeed we were promised this - we and our forefathers before (us), verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients."

(8) Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these - and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them).

(9) Did We not destroy the ancients?

(10) When Our Verses (of the Qur'an) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!"
