(41) They do not wait aught but that the angels should come to them or that the commandment of your Lord should come to pass. Thus did those before them; and Allah was not unjust to them, but they were unjust to themselves.

(42) And whatever creature that is in the heavens and that is in the earth makes obeisance to Allah (only), and the angels (too) and they do not show pride.

(43) What! has then your Lord preferred to give you sons, and (for Himself) taken daughters from among the angels? Most surely you utter a grievous saying.

(44) And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam; they made obeisance, but Iblis (did it not). He said: Shall I make obeisance to him whom Thou hast created of dust?

(45) Or you should cause the heaven to come down upon us in pieces as you think, or bring Allah and the angels face to face (with us).

(46) Say: Had there been in the earth angels walking about as settlers, We would certainly have sent down to them from the heaven an angel as an apostle.

(47) And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam; they made obeisance but Iblis (did it not). He was of the jinn, so he transgressed the commandment of his Lord. What! would you then take him and his offspring for friends rather than Me, and they are your enemies? Evil is (this) change for the unjust.

(48) And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam, they made obeisance, but Iblis (did it not); he refused.

(49) The great fearful event shall not grieve them, and the angels shall meet them: This is your day which you were promised.

(50) Allah chooses apostles from among the angels and from among the men; surely Allah is Hearing, Seeing.
