(1) The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."

(2) Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)."

(3) Then if they reject thee, so were rejected messengers before thee, who came with Clear Signs, books of dark prophecies, and the Book of Enlightenment.

(4) O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Messenger and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His angels, His books, His Messengers, and the Day of Judgment, hath gone far, far astray.

(5) (We sent them) with Clear Signs and books of dark prophecies; and We have sent down unto thee (also) the Message; that thou mayest explain clearly to men what is sent for them, and that they may give thought.

(6) They say: "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has not a Clear Sign come to them of all that was in the former books of revelation?

(7) The Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed),- even as We produced the first creation, so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it.

(8) Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic books of former peoples.

(9) But We had not given them books which they could study, nor sent messengers to them before thee as Warners.

(10) And if they reject thee, so did their predecessors, to whom came their messengers with Clear Signs, books of dark prophecies, and the Book of Enlightenment.
