(671) And they say: Why does he not bring to us a sign from his Lord? Has not there come to them a clear evidence of what is in the previous books?

(672) And had We destroyed them with chastisement before this, they would certainly have said: O our Lord! why didst Thou not send to us an apostle, for then we should have followed Thy communications before that we met disgrace and shame.

(673) And this ceased not to be their cry till We made them cut off, extinct.

(674) And whoever is in the heavens and the earth is his; and those who are with Him are not proud to serve Him, nor do they grow weary.

(675) Or, have they taken gods besides Him? Say: Bring your proof; this is the reminder of those with me and the reminder of those before me. Nay! most of them do not know the truth, so they turn aside.

(676) They do not precede Him in speech and (only) according to his commandment do they act.

(677) And when those who disbelieve see you, they do not take you but for one to be scoffed at: Is this he who speaks of your gods? And they are deniers at the mention of the Beneficent Allah.

(678) And they say: When will this threat come to pass if you are truthful?

(679) And this is a blessed Reminder which We have revealed; will you then deny it?

(680) And certainly We gave to Ibrahim his rectitude before, and We knew him fully well.
