(1661) And they shall say: What is the matter with us that we do not see men whom we used to count among the vicious?

(1662) Say: It is a message of importance,

(1663) Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner.

(1664) He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust.

(1665) And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment.

(1666) He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised.

(1667) Till the period of the time made known.

(1668) And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time.

(1669) He has created you from a single being, then made its mate of the same (kind), and He has made for you eight of the cattle in pairs. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers-- a creation after a creation-- in triple darkness; that is Allah your Lord, His is the kingdom; there is no god but He; whence are you then turned away?

(1670) And when distress afflicts a man he calls upon his Lord turning to Him frequently; then when He makes him possess a favor from Him, he forgets that for which he called upon Him before, and sets up rivals to Allah that he may cause (men) to stray off from His path. Say: Enjoy yourself in your ungratefulness a little, surely you are of the inmates of the fire.
