(1) Allah shall pay them back their mockery, and He leaves them alone in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

(2) And when you divorce women and they reach their prescribed time, then either retain them in good fellowship or set them free with liberality, and do not retain them for injury, so that you exceed the limits, and whoever does this, he indeed is unjust to his own soul; and do not take Allah's communications for a mockery, and remember the favor of Allah upon you, and that which He has revealed to you of the Book and the Wisdom, admonishing you thereby; and be careful (of your duty to) Allah, and know that Allah is the Knower of all things.

(3) O you who believe! do not take for guardians those who take your religion for a mockery and a joke, from among those who were given the Book before you and the unbelievers; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah if you are believers.

(4) And when you call to prayer they make it a mockery and a joke; this is because they are a people who do not understand.

(5) And We do not send apostles but as givers of good news and warning, and those who disbelieve make a false contention that they may render null thereby the truth, and they take My communications and that with which they are warned for a mockery.

(6) Thus it is that their recompense is hell, because they disbelieved and held My communications and My apostles in mockery.

(7) But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them.

(8) And when they see you, they do not take you for aught but a mockery: Is this he whom Allah has raised to be an apostle?

(9) And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement.
