(51) And We revealed to musa and his brother, saying: Take for your people houses to abide in Egypt and make your houses places of worship and keep up prayer and give good news to the believers.

(52) And musa said: Our Lord! surely Thou hast given to Firon and his chiefs finery and riches in this world's life, to this end, our Lord, that they lead (people) astray from Thy way: Our Lord! destroy their riches and harden their hearts so that they believe not until they see the painful punishment.

(53) Is he then who has with him clear proof from his Lord, and a witness from Him recites it and before it (is) the Book of musa, a guide and a mercy? These believe in it; and whoever of the (different) parties disbelieves in it, surely it is the truth from your Lord, but most men do not believe.

(54) And certainly We sent musa with Our communications and a clear authority,

(55) And certainly We gave the book to musa, but it was gone against; and had not a word gone forth from your Lord, the matter would surely have been decided between them; and surely they are in a disquieting doubt about it.

(56) And certainly We sent musa with Our communications, saying: Bring forth your people from utter darkness into light and remind them of the days of Allah; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one.

(57) And when musa said to his people: Call to mind Allah's favor to you when He delivered you from Firon's people, who subjected you to severe torment, and slew your sons and spared your women; and in this there was a great trial from your Lord.

(58) And musa said: If you are ungrateful, you and those on earth all together, most surely Allah is Self-sufficient, Praised;

(59) And We gave musa the Book and made it a guidance to the children of Israel, saying: Do not take a protector besides Me;

(60) And certainly We gave musa nine clear signs; so ask the children of Israel. When he came to them, Firon said to him: Most surely I deem you, O musa, to be a man deprived of reason.
