(61) Praise be to Allah, Who has given me in old age Ismail and Ishaq; most surely my Lord is the Hearer of prayer:

(62) My Lord! make me keep up prayer and from my offspring (too), O our Lord, and accept my prayer:

(63) And man prays for evil as he ought to pray for good, and man is ever hasty.

(64) Keep up prayer from the declining of the sun till the darkness of the night and the morning recitation; surely the morning recitation is witnessed.

(65) And during a part of the night, pray Tahajjud beyond what is incumbent on you; maybe your Lord will raise you to a position of great glory.

(66) Say: Call upon Allah or call upon, the Beneficent Allah; whichever you call upon, He has the best names; and do not utter your prayer with a very raised voice nor be silent with regard to it, and seek a way between these.

(67) He said: My Lord! surely my bones are weakened and my head flares with hoariness, and, my Lord! I have never been unsuccessful in my prayer to Thee:

(68) And He has made me blessed wherever I may be, and He has enjoined on me prayer and poor-rate so long as I live;

(69) He said: Peace be on you, I will pray to my Lord to forgive you; surely He is ever Affectionate to me:

(70) And he enjoined on his family prayer and almsgiving, and was one in whom his Lord was well pleased.
