(1) And when ye have completed your devotions, then remember Allah as ye remember your fathers or with a more lively remembrance. But of mankind is he who saith: "Our Lord! Give unto us in the world," and he hath no portion in the Hereafter.

(2) Satan seeketh only to cast among you enmity and hatred by means of strong drink and games of chance, and to turn you from remembrance of Allah and from (His) worship. Will ye then have done?

(3) And when thou seest those who meddle with Our revelations, withdraw from them until they meddle with another topic. And if the devil cause thee to forget, sit not, after the remembrance, with the congregation of wrong-doers.

(4) Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!

(5) And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men whom We inspired - Ask the followers of the remembrance if ye know not! -

(6) With clear proofs and writings; and We have revealed unto thee the remembrance that thou mayst explain to mankind that which hath been revealed for them, and that haply they may reflect.

(7) Restrain thyself along with those who cry unto their Lord at morn and evening, seeking His Countenance; and let not thine eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp of the life of the world; and obey not him whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance, who followeth his own lust and whose case hath been abandoned.

(8) They will ask thee of Dhu'l-Qarneyn. Say: I shall recite unto you a remembrance of him.

(9) Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance.

(10) Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me.
