(1) And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam.". And they prostrated except Iblis (satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allah).
(2) Then the Shaitan (satan) made them slip therefrom (the Paradise), and got them out from that in which they were. We said: "Get you down, all, with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be a dwelling place for you and an enjoyment for a time."
(3) And fear a Day (of Judgement) when a person shall not avail another, nor will intercession be accepted from him nor will compensation be taken from him nor will they be helped.
(4) And indeed you knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. saturday). We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected."
(5) And fear the Day (of Judgement) when no person shall avail another, nor shall compensation be accepted from him, nor shall intercession be of use to him, nor shall they be helped.
(6) O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth, and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (satan). Verily, he is to you an open enemy.
(7) He [Shaitan (satan)] commands you only what is evil and Fahsha (sinful), and that you should say against Allah what you know not.
(8) O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islam (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (satan). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy.
(9) Shaitan (satan) threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit Fahsha (evil deeds, illegal sexual intercourse, sins); whereas Allah promises you Forgiveness from Himself and Bounty, and Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.
(10) Those who eat Riba (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaitan (satan) leading him to insanity. That is because they say: "Trading is only like Riba (usury)," whereas Allah has permitted trading and forbidden Riba (usury). So whosoever receives an admonition from his Lord and stops eating Riba (usury) shall not be punished for the past; his case is for Allah (to judge); but whoever returns [to Riba (usury)], such are the dwellers of the Fire - they will abide therein.
