(1) Yea! whoever earns evil and his sins beset him on every side, these are the inmates of the fire; in it they shall abide.

(2) And let not those who disbelieve think that Our granting them respite is better for their souls; We grant them respite only that they may add to their sins; and they shall have a disgraceful chastisement.

(3) If you shun the great sins which you are forbidden, We will do away with your small sins and cause you to enter an honorable place of entering.

(4) And surely I fear my cousins after me, and my wife is barren, therefore grant me from Thyself an heir,

(5) Surely we believe in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and the magic to which you compelled us; and Allah is better and more abiding.

(6) Have they not travelled in the earth and seen how was the end of those who were before them? Mightier than these were they in strength-- and in fortifications in the land, but Allah destroyed them for their sins; and there was not for them any defender against Allah.

(7) And those who. shun the great sins and indecencies, and whenever they are angry they forgive.

(8) Those who keep aloof from the great sins and the indecencies but the passing idea; surely your Lord is liberal in forgiving. He knows you best when He brings you forth from the earth and when you are embryos in the wombs of your mothers; therefore do not attribute purity to your souls; He knows him best who guards (against evil).

(9) So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire.

(10) And Firon and those before him and the overthrown cities continuously committed sins.
