(13) They ask thee concerning the spirit (of inspiration). Say: "The spirit (cometh) by command of my Lord: of knowledge it is only a little that is communicated to you, (O men!)"

(14) Therefore be patient with what they say, and celebrate (constantly) the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun, and before its setting; yea, celebrate them for part of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy.

(15) And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our spirit, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples.

(16) With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth-

(17) But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give!

(18) "Has he invented a falsehood against Allah, or has a spirit (seized) him?"- Nay, it is those who believe not in the Hereafter, that are in (real) Penalty, and in farthest error.

(19) (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits,

(20) "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."
