(1) Never stand (to pray) there. A place of worship which was found upon duty (to Allah) from the first day is more worthy that thou shouldst stand (to pray) therein, wherein are men who love to purify themselves. Allah loveth the purifiers.

(2) And surely We are Best Aware of those most worthy to be burned therein.

(3) Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy,

(4) One of the two women said: O my father! Hire him! For the best (man) that thou canst hire in the strong, the trustworthy.

(5) Lo! Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation.

(6) And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy;

(7) And He it is Who sendeth down the saving rain after they have despaired, and spreadeth out His mercy. He is the Protecting Friend, the Praiseworthy.

(8) When those who disbelieve had set up in their hearts zealotry, the zealotry of the Age of Ignorance, then Allah sent down His peace of reassurance upon His messenger and upon the believers and imposed on them the word of self-restraint, for they were worthy of it and meet for it. And Allah is Aware of all things.

(9) So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy,

(10) Save with their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for thus they are not blameworthy;
