Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
189. ۞ هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا لِيَسْكُنَ إِلَيْهَا ۖ فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّاهَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلًا خَفِيفًا فَمَرَّتْ بِهِ ۖ فَلَمَّا أَثْقَلَت دَّعَوَا اللَّهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنْ آتَيْتَنَا صَالِحًا لَّنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ
Transliteration:Huwa allathee khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatin wajaAAala minha zawjaha liyaskuna ilayha falamma taghashshaha hamalat hamlan khafeefan famarrat bihi falamma athqalat daAAawa Allaha rabbahuma lain ataytana salihan lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena
Yusuf Ali:It is He Who created you from a single person, and made his mate of like nature, in order that he might dwell with her (in love). When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about (unnoticed). When she grows heavy, they both pray to Allah their Lord, (saying): "If Thou givest us a goodly child, we vow we shall (ever) be grateful."
Urdu:وہ وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں ایک جان سے پیدا کیا اور اسی سے اس کا جوڑ بنایا تاکہ اس سے آرام پائے پھر جب میاں نے بیوی سے ہم بستری کی تو اس کو ہلکا سا حمل رہ گیا پھر اسے لیے پھرتی رہی پھر جب وہ بوجھل ہو گئی تب دونوں میاں بیوی نے الله سے جو ان کا مالک ہے دعا کی اگر آپ نے ہمیں صحیح سالم اولاد دے دی تو ہم ضرور شکر گزار ہوں گے
