(1) Lo! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is responsive, Aware.

(2) What concern hath Allah for your punishment if ye are thankful (for His mercies) and believe (in Him)? Allah was ever responsive, Aware.

(3) And unto (the tribe of) Thamud (We sent) their brother Salih. He said: O my people! Serve Allah, Ye have no other Allah save Him. He brought you forth from the earth and hath made you husband it. So ask forgiveness of Him and turn unto Him repentant. Lo! my Lord is Nigh, responsive.

(4) That He will pay them their wages and increase them of His grace. Lo! He is Forgiving, responsive.

(5) This it is which Allah announceth unto His bondmen who believe and do good works. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee therefor, save lovingkindness among kinsfolk. And whoso scoreth a good deed We add unto its good for him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, responsive.

(6) If ye lend unto Allah a goodly loan, He will double it for you and will forgive you, for Allah is responsive, Clement,
