(1) woe, then, to those who write the book with their hands and then say: This is from Allah, so that they may take for it a small price; therefore woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.
(2) Then Allah sent a crow digging up the earth so that he might show him how he should cover the dead body of his brother. He said: woe me! do I lack the strength that I should be like this crow and cover the dead body of my brother? So he became of those who regret.
(3) (Of) Allah, Whose is whatever is in the heavens and whatever Is in the earth; and woe to the unbelievers on account of the severe chastisement,
(4) And the Book shall be placed, then you will see the guilty fearing from what is in it, and they will say: Ah! woe to us! what a book is this! it does not omit a small one nor a great one, but numbers them (all); and what they had done they shall find present (there); and your Lord does not deal unjustly with anyone.
(5) But parties from among them disagreed with each other, so woe to those who disbelieve, because of presence on a great day.
(6) Musa said to them: woe to you! do not forge a lie against Allah, lest He destroy you by a punishment, and he who forges (a lie) indeed fails to attain (his desire).
(7) They said: O woe to us! surely we were unjust.
(8) Nay! We cast the truth against the falsehood, so that it breaks its head, and lo! it vanishes; and woe to you for what you describe;
(9) And if a blast of the chastisement of your Lord were to touch them, they will certainly say: O woe to us! surely we were unjust.
(10) And the true promise shall draw nigh, then lo! the eyes of those who disbelieved shall be fixedly open: O woe to us! surely we were in a state of heedlessness as to this; nay, we were unjust.
