(143) We have made it a Qur'an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand (and learn wisdom).

(144) So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old.

(145) Is then one brought up among trinkets, and unable to give a clear account in a dispute (to be associated with Allah)?

(146) We did, before them, try the people of Pharaoh: there came to them a messenger most honourable,

(147) See they not that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and never wearied with their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yea, verily He has power over all things.

(148) (Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?

(149) Behold, the Lote-tree was shrouded (in mystery unspeakable!)

(150) How many-so-ever be the angels in the heavens, their intercession will avail nothing except after Allah has given leave for whom He pleases and that he is acceptable to Him.
