(141) And remember, Moses said to his people: "O my people! why do ye vex and insult me, though ye know that I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you?" Then when they went wrong, Allah let their hearts go wrong. For Allah guides not those who are rebellious transgressors.

(142) That is because they believed, then they rejected Faith: So a seal was set on their hearts: therefore they understand not.

(143) He knows what is in the heavens and on earth; and He knows what ye conceal and what ye reveal: yea, Allah knows well the (secrets) of (all) hearts.

(144) If ye two turn in repentance to Him, your hearts are indeed so inclined; But if ye back up each other against him, truly Allah is his Protector, and Gabriel, and (every) righteous one among those who believe,- and furthermore, the angels - will back (him) up.

(145) And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts.

(146) And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind.

(147) Hearts that Day will be in agitation;

(148) By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do!

(149) And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer.

(150) The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts:
