(1) Already has He sent you Word in the Book, that when ye hear the signs of Allah held in defiance and ridicule, ye are not to sit with them unless they turn to a different theme: if ye did, ye would be like them. For Allah will collect the hypocrites and those who defy faith - all in Hell:-

(2) When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong.

(3) They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while); and send to the cities men to collect-

(4) On that day We shall leave them to surge like waves on one another: the trumpet will be blown, and We shall collect them all together.

(5) Only those are believers, who believe in Allah and His Messenger: when they are with him on a matter requiring collective action, they do not depart until they have asked for his leave; those who ask for thy leave are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger; so when they ask for thy leave, for some business of theirs, give leave to those of them whom thou wilt, and ask Allah for their forgiveness: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(6) They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while), and dispatch to the Cities heralds to collect-

(7) He said: "This has been given to me because of a certain knowledge which I have." Did he not know that Allah had destroyed, before him, (whole) generations,- which were superior to him in strength and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected? but the wicked are not called (immediately) to account for their sins.

(8) And collect (wealth) and hide it (from use)!

(9) It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it:

(10) And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);-
