(5) Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most heinous indeed.

(6) That is most suitable: that they may give the evidence in its true nature and shape, or else they would fear that other oaths would be taken after their oaths. But fear Allah, and listen (to His counsel): for Allah guideth not a rebellious people:

(7) The leaders, the arrogant party among his people, said: "O Shu'aib! we shall certainly drive thee out of our city - (thee) and those who believe with thee; or else ye (thou and they) shall have to return to our ways and religion." He said: "What! even though we do detest (them)?

(8) Or else did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they played about (care-free)?

(9) And verily, it is We Who give life, and Who give death: it is We Who remain inheritors (after all else passes away).

(10) There, sobbing will be their lot, nor will they there hear (aught else).
