(1) He said: My Lord! appoint a sign for me. Said He: Your sign is that you should not speak to men for three days except by signs; and remember your Lord much and glorify Him in the evening and the morning.

(2) And do not drive away those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, they desire only His favor; neither are you answerable for any reckoning of theirs, nor are they answerable for any reckoning of yours, so that you should drive them away and thus be of the unjust.

(3) And remember your Lord within yourself humbly and fearing and in a voice not loud in the morning and the evening and be not of the heedless ones.

(4) And withhold yourself with those who call on their Lord morning and evening desiring His goodwill, and let not your eyes pass from them, desiring the beauties of this world's life; and do not follow him whose heart We have made unmindful to Our remembrance, and he follows his low desires and his case is one in which due bounds are exceeded.

(5) So he went forth to his people from his place of worship, then he made known to them that they should glorify (Allah) morning and evening.

(6) They shall not hear therein any vain discourse, but only: Peace, and they shall have their sustenance therein morning and evening.

(7) In houses which Allah has permitted to be exalted and that His name may be remembered in them; there glorify Him therein in the mornings and the evenings,

(8) And they say: The stories of the ancients-- he has got them written-- so these are read out to him morning and evening.

(9) Therefore glory be to Allah when you enter upon the time of the evening and when you enter upon the time of the morning.

(10) And glorify Him morning and evening.
