(232) "Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him):

(233) We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning!

(234) (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge.

(235) And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty.

(236) They will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people.

(237) But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens-

(238) O ye that believe! fear Allah, and believe in His Messenger, and He will bestow on you a double portion of His Mercy: He will provide for you a Light by which ye shall walk (straight in your path), and He will forgive you (your past): for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(239) O ye who believe! When ye hold secret counsel, do it not for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience to the Prophet; but do it for righteousness and self-restraint; and fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be brought back.

(240) What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from the people of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealthy among you. So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And fear Allah; for Allah is strict in Punishment.
