They were under two of our righteous slaves, but they both betrayed them (their husbands by rejecting their doctrine). So they [nuh (Noah) and Lut (Lot) عليهما السلام] availed them (their respective wives) not against Allah and it was said: "Enter the Fire along with those who enter!"

(54) Verily, We sent nuh (Noah) to his people (saying): "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful torment."

(55) nuh (Noah) said: "My Lord! They have disobeyed me, and followed one whose wealth and children give him no increase but loss.

(56) And nuh (Noah) said: "My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers on the earth!
