(2) And tilled fields and heavy-sheathed palm-trees,

(3) Sweeping men away as though they were uprooted trunks of palm-trees.

(4) Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees,

(5) Whatsoever palm-trees ye cut down or left standing on their roots, it was by Allah's leave, in order that He might confound the evil-livers.

(6) Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees.
