(12) (Firon) said: You believe in him before I give you leave; most surely he is the chief of you who taught you enchantment, therefore I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will certainly crucify you on the trunks of the palm trees, and certainly you will come to know which of us is the more severe and the more abiding in chastising.

(13) Surely we believe in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and the magic to which you compelled us; and Allah is better and more abiding.

(14) abiding in this (state), and evil will it be for them to bear on the day of resurrection;

(15) And do not stretch your eyes after that with which We have provided different classes of them, (of) the splendor of this world's life, that We may thereby try them; and the sustenance (given) by your Lord is better and more abiding.

(16) And We did not ordain abiding for any mortal before you. What! Then if you die, will they abide?

(17) And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell

(18) Say: Is this better or the abiding garden which those who guard (against evil) are promised? That shall be a reward and a resort for them.

(19) They shall have therein what they desire abiding (in it); it is a promise which it is proper to be prayed for from your Lord.

(20) The dwellers of the garden shall on that day be in a better abiding-place and a better resting-place.
