(11) If Allah were to punish men for their wrong-doing, He would not leave, on the (earth), a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: When their Term expires, they would not be able to delay (the punishment) for a single hour, just as they would not be able to anticipate it (for a single hour).

(12) To Allah belongeth the Mystery of the heavens and the earth. And the Decision of the hour (of Judgment) is as the twingkling of an eye, or even quicker: for Allah hath power over all things.

(13) Thus did We make their case known to the people, that they might know that the promise of Allah is true, and that there can be no doubt about the hour of Judgment. Behold, they dispute among themselves as to their affair. (Some) said, "Construct a building over them": Their Lord knows best about them: those who prevailed over their affair said, "Let us surely build a place of worship over them."

(14) "Nor do I deem that the hour (of Judgment) will (ever) come: Even if I am brought back to my Lord, I shall surely find (there) something better in exchange."

(15) Say: "If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces!

(16) "Verily the hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour.

(17) Therefore be patient with what they say, and celebrate (constantly) the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun, and before its setting; yea, celebrate them for part of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy.

(18) Those who fear their Lord in their most secret thoughts, and who hold the hour (of Judgment) in awe.

(19) O mankind! fear your Lord! for the convulsion of the hour (of Judgment) will be a thing terrible!

(20) And verily the hour will come: there can be no doubt about it, or about (the fact) that Allah will raise up all who are in the graves.
