(22) He said: Set me over the storehouses of the land. Lo! I am a skilled custodian.

(23) Our Lord! Lo! I have settled some of my posterity in an uncultivable valley near unto Thy holy house, our Lord! that they may establish proper worship; so incline some hearts of men that they may yearn toward them, and provide Thou them with fruits in order that they may be thankful.

(24) So travel with thy household in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs. Let none of you turn round, but go whither ye are commanded.

(25) And Allah hath given you in your houses an abode, and hath given you (also), of the hides of cattle, houses which ye find light (to carry) on the day of migration and on the day of pitching camp; and of their wool and their fur and their hair, caparison and comfort for a while.

(26) Or thou have a house of gold; or thou ascend up into heaven, and even then we will put no faith in thine ascension till thou bring down for us a book that we can read. Say (O Muhammad): My Lord be Glorified! Am I aught save a mortal messenger?

(27) Who shall inherit of me and inherit (also) of the house of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, acceptable (unto Thee).

(28) And Noah, when he cried of old, We heard his prayer and saved him and his household from the great affliction.

(29) Then We heard his prayer and removed that adversity from which he suffered, and We gave him his household (that he had lost) and the like thereof along with them, a mercy from Our store, and a remembrance for the worshippers;

(30) And (remember) when We prepared for Abraham the place of the (holy) house, saying: Ascribe thou no thing as partner unto Me, and purify My house for those who make the round (thereof) and those who stand and those who bow and make prostration.
