(53) They made for him what he willed: synagogues and statues, basins like wells and boilers built into the ground. Give thanks, O house of David! Few of My bondmen are thankful.

(54) And We saved him and his household from the great distress,

(55) When We saved him and his household, every one,

(56) And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding.

(57) Then worship what ye will beside Him. Say: The losers will be those who lose themselves and their housefolk on the Day of Resurrection. Ah, that will be the manifest loss!

(58) And thou wilt see them exposed to (the Fire), made humble by disgrace, and looking with veiled eyes. And those who believe will say: Lo! the (eternal) losers are they who lose themselves and their housefolk on the Day of Resurrection. Lo! are not the wrong-doers in perpetual torment?

(59) And were it not that mankind would have become one community, We might well have appointed, for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent, roofs of silver for their houses and stairs (of silver) whereby to mount,

(60) And for their houses doors (of silver) and couches of silver whereon to recline,
