(71) And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army?

(72) Therefor (O Muhammad), bear with what they say, and celebrate the praise of thy Lord ere the rising of the sun and ere the going down thereof. And glorify Him some hours of the night and at the two ends of the day, that thou mayst find acceptance.

(73) Nay, but We hurl the true against the false, and it doth break its head and lo! it vanisheth. And yours will be woe for that which ye ascribe (unto Him).

(74) And We verily gave Abraham of old his proper course, and We were Aware of him,

(75) Then he reduced them to fragments, all save the chief of them, that haply they might have recourse to it.

(76) Then gathered they apart and said: Lo! ye yourselves are the wrong-doers.

(77) O ye who believe! Bow down and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord, and do good, that haply ye may prosper.

(78) And strive for Allah with the endeavour which is His right. He hath chosen you and hath not laid upon you in religion any hardship; the faith of your father Abraham (is yours). He hath named you Muslims of old time and in this (Scripture), that the messenger may be a witness against you, and that ye may be witnesses against mankind. So establish worship, pay the poor-due, and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protecting friend. A blessed Patron and a blessed Helper!

(79) If ye were to obey a mortal like yourselves, then, lo! ye surely would be losers.

(80) And they said: Shall we put faith in two mortals like ourselves, and whose folk are servile unto us?
