(101) Those who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter: for them is a grievous penalty,-

(102) Deem not the summons of the Messenger among yourselves like the summons of one of you to another: Allah doth know those of you who slip away under shelter of some excuse: then let those beware who withstand the Messenger's order, lest some trial befall them, or a grievous penalty be inflicted on them.

(103) (Allah will say): "Now have they proved you liars in what ye say: so ye cannot avert (your penalty) nor (get) help." And whoever among you does wrong, him shall We cause to taste of a grievous penalty.

(104) And the people of Noah,- when they rejected the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them as a Sign for mankind; and We have prepared for (all) wrong-doers a grievous penalty;-

(105) "He indeed would well-nigh have misled us from our gods, had it not been that we were constant to them!" - Soon will they know, when they see the penalty, who it is that is most misled in Path!

(106) (But) the penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,-

(107) "Truly I fear for you the penalty of a Great Day."

(108) "Touch her not with harm, lest the penalty of a Great Day seize you."

(109) But the penalty seized them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.

(110) But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the penalty of a Great Day.
