(31) (Some) say: (They are) three, the fourth of them being their dog; and (others) say: Five, the sixth of them being their dog, making conjectures at what is unknown; and (others yet) say: Seven, and the eighth of them is their dog. Say: My Lord best knows their number, none knows them but a few; therefore contend not in the matter of them but with an outward contention, and do not question concerning them any of them.

(32) O Yahya! take hold of the Book with strength, and We granted him wisdom while yet a child

(33) She said: When shall I have a boy and no mortal has yet touched me, nor have I been unchaste?

(34) And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden.

(35) And We have made the heaven a guarded canopy and (yet) they turn aside from its signs.

(36) And We will set up a just balance on the day of resurrection, so no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and though there be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, (yet) will We bring it, and sufficient are We to take account.

(37) Besides Allah? Can they help you or yet help themselves?

(38) And (We destroyed) Qaroun and Firon and Haman; and certainly Musa came to them with clear arguments, but they behaved haughtily in the land; yet they could not outstrip (Us).

(39) Of the believers are men who are true to the covenant which they made with Allah: so of them is he who accomplished his vow, and of them is he who yet waits, and they have not changed in the least

(40) And He made you heirs to their land and their dwellings and their property, and (to) a land which you have not yet trodden, and Allah has power over all things.
