بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Yusuf Ali 1: In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Shakir 1: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Pickthal 1: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Mohsin Khan: 1: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Yusuf Ali 2: Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;
Shakir 2: All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
Pickthal 2: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
Mohsin Khan: 2: All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists).

الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Yusuf Ali 3: Most Gracious, Most Merciful;
Shakir 3: The Beneficent, the Merciful.
Pickthal 3: The Beneficent, the Merciful.
Mohsin Khan: 3: The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
Yusuf Ali 4: Master of the Day of Judgment.
Shakir 4: Master of the Day of Judgment.
Pickthal 4: Master of the Day of Judgment,
Mohsin Khan: 4: The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
Yusuf Ali 5: Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.
Shakir 5: Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help.
Pickthal 5: Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.
Mohsin Khan: 5: You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Yusuf Ali 6: Show us the straight way,
Shakir 6: Keep us on the right path.
Pickthal 6: Show us the straight path,
Mohsin Khan: 6: Guide us to the Straight Way.

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
Yusuf Ali 7: The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.
Shakir 7: The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray.
Pickthal 7: The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.
Mohsin Khan: 7: The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace , not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (i.e. those who knew the Truth, but did not follow it) nor of those who went astray (i.e. those who did not follow the Truth out of ignorance and error). ,
