2. | مَا الْحَاقَّةُ |
Transliteration: | Ma alhaqqatu |
Yusuf Ali: | What is the Sure Reality? |
Mohsin Khan: | What is the Inevitable? |
Saheeh: | What is the Inevitable Reality? |
Urdu: | قیامت کیا چیز ہے |

3. | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحَاقَّةُ |
Transliteration: | Wama adraka ma alhaqqatu |
Yusuf Ali: | And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is? |
Mohsin Khan: | And what will make you know what the Inevitable is? |
Saheeh: | And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality? |
Urdu: | اور تمہیں کس چیز نے بتایا کہ قیامت کیا ہے |

4. | كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ |
Transliteration: | Kaththabat thamoodu waAAadun bialqariAAati |
Yusuf Ali: | The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity! |
Mohsin Khan: | Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah (the striking Hour of Judgement)! |
Saheeh: | Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity. |
Urdu: | ثمود اور عاد نے قیامت کو جھٹلایا تھا |

5. | فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ |
Transliteration: | Faamma thamoodu faohlikoo bialttaghiyati |
Yusuf Ali: | But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning! |
Mohsin Khan: | As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry! |
Saheeh: | So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast]. |
Urdu: | سو ثمود تو سخت ہیبت ناک چیخ سے ہلاک کیے گئے |

6. | وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ |
Transliteration: | Waamma AAadun faohlikoo bireehin sarsarin AAatiyatin |
Yusuf Ali: | And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent; |
Mohsin Khan: | And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind! |
Saheeh: | And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind |
Urdu: | اور لیکن قوم عاد سو وہ ایک سخت آندھی سے ہلاک کیے گئے |

7. | سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ |
Transliteration: | Sakhkharaha AAalayhim sabAAa layalin wathamaniyata ayyamin husooman fatara alqawma feeha sarAAa kaannahum aAAjazu nakhlin khawiyatun |
Yusuf Ali: | He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! |
Mohsin Khan: | Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! |
Saheeh: | Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees. |
Urdu: | وہ ان پر سات راتیں اور آٹھ دن لگاتار چلتی رہی (اگر تو موجود ہوتا) اس قوم کو اس طرح گرا ہوا دیکھتا کہ گویا کہ گھری ہوئی کھجوروں کے تنے ہیں |

8. | فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّن بَاقِيَةٍ |
Transliteration: | Fahal tara lahum min baqiyatin |
Yusuf Ali: | Then seest thou any of them left surviving? |
Mohsin Khan: | Do you see any remnants of them? |
Saheeh: | Then do you see of them any remains? |
Urdu: | سو کیا تمہیں ان کا کوئی بچا ہوا نظر آتا ہے |

9. | وَجَاءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِ |
Transliteration: | Wajaa firAAawnu waman qablahu waalmutafikatu bialkhatiati |
Yusuf Ali: | And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin. |
Mohsin Khan: | And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lut (Lot)] committed sin. |
Saheeh: | And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin. |
Urdu: | اور فرعون اس سے پہلے کے لوگ اور الٹی ہوئی بستیوں والے گناہ کے مرتکب ہوئے |

10. | فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً |
Transliteration: | FaAAasaw rasoola rabbihim faakhathahum akhthatan rabiyatan |
Yusuf Ali: | And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty. |
Mohsin Khan: | And they disobeyed their Lord's Messenger, so He seized them with a strong punishment. |
Saheeh: | And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]. |
Urdu: | پس انہوں نے اپنے رب کے رسول کی نافرمانی کی تو الله نے انہیں سخت پکڑ لیا |

11. | إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ |
Transliteration: | Inna lamma tagha almao hamalnakum fee aljariyati |
Yusuf Ali: | We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark), |
Mohsin Khan: | Verily, when the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)] |
Saheeh: | Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship |
Urdu: | بے شک ہم نے جب پانی حد سے گزر گیا تھا تو تمہیں کشتی میں سوار کر لیا تھا |

12. | لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ |
Transliteration: | LinajAAalaha lakum tathkiratan wataAAiyaha othunun waAAiyatun |
Yusuf Ali: | That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance. |
Mohsin Khan: | That We might make it (Noah's ship) an admonition for you and that it might be retained by the retaining ears. |
Saheeh: | That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. |
Urdu: | تاکہ ہم اسے تمہارے لیے ایک یادگار بنائیں اور اس کو کان یا د رکھنے والے یاد رکھیں |

13. | فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ |
Transliteration: | Faitha nufikha fee alssoori nafkhatun wahidatun |
Yusuf Ali: | Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet, |
Mohsin Khan: | Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one). |
Saheeh: | Then when the Horn is blown with one blast |
Urdu: | پھر جب صور میں پھونکا جائے گا ایک بار پھونکا جانا |

14. | وَحُمِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً |
Transliteration: | Wahumilati alardu waaljibalu fadukkata dakkatan wahidatan |
Yusuf Ali: | And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,- |
Mohsin Khan: | And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing. |
Saheeh: | And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow - |
Urdu: | اور زمین اور پہاڑ اٹھائے جائیں گے پس وہ دونوں ریزہ ریزہ کر دیئے جائیں گے |

15. | فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ |
Transliteration: | Fayawmaithin waqaAAati alwaqiAAatu |
Yusuf Ali: | On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass. |
Mohsin Khan: | Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall. |
Saheeh: | Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, |
Urdu: | پس اس دن قیامت ہو گی |

16. | وَانشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ |
Transliteration: | Wainshaqqati alssamao fahiya yawmaithin wahiyatun |
Yusuf Ali: | And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy, |
Mohsin Khan: | And the heaven will be rent asunder, for that Day it (the heaven) will be frail and torn up. |
Saheeh: | And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. |
Urdu: | اور آسمان پھٹ جائے گا اوروہ اس دن بودا ہوگا |

17. | وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰ أَرْجَائِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ |
Transliteration: | Waalmalaku AAala arjaiha wayahmilu AAarsha rabbika fawqahum yawmaithin thamaniyatun |
Yusuf Ali: | And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. |
Mohsin Khan: | And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. |
Saheeh: | And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]. |
Urdu: | اور اس کے کنارے پر فرشتے ہوں گے اور عرشِ الہیٰ کو اپنے اوپر اس دن آٹھ فرشتے اٹھائیں گے |

18. | يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ |
Transliteration: | Yawmaithin tuAAradoona la takhfa minkum khafiyatun |
Yusuf Ali: | That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden. |
Mohsin Khan: | That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. |
Saheeh: | That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed. |
Urdu: | اس دن تم پیش کیے جاؤ گے تمہارا کوئی راز مخفی نہ رہے گا |
|
19. | فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَيَقُولُ هَاؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتَابِيَهْ |
Transliteration: | Faamma man ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi fayaqoolu haomu iqraoo kitabiyah |
Yusuf Ali: | Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record! |
Mohsin Khan: | Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Here! read my Record! |
Saheeh: | So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! |
Urdu: | جس کو اس کا اعمال نامہ اس کے داہنے ہاتھ میں دیا جائے گا سو وہ کہے گا لو میرا اعمال نامہ پڑھو |

20. | إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَاقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ |
Transliteration: | Innee thanantu annee mulaqin hisabiyah |
Yusuf Ali: | "I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!" |
Mohsin Khan: | "Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!" |
Saheeh: | Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account." |
Urdu: | بے شک میں سمجھتا تھا کہ میں اپنا حساب دیکھوں گا |
|
21. | فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ |
Transliteration: | Fahuwa fee AAeeshatin radiyatin |
Yusuf Ali: | And he will be in a life of Bliss, |
Mohsin Khan: | So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. |
Saheeh: | So he will be in a pleasant life - |
Urdu: | سووہ دل پسند عیش میں ہو گا |

22. | فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ |
Transliteration: | Fee jannatin AAaliyatin |
Yusuf Ali: | In a Garden on high, |
Mohsin Khan: | In a lofty Paradise, |
Saheeh: | In an elevated garden, |
Urdu: | بلند بہشت میں |
|
23. | قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ |
Transliteration: | Qutoofuha daniyatun |
Yusuf Ali: | The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near. |
Mohsin Khan: | The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. |
Saheeh: | Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. |
Urdu: | جس کے میوے جھکے ہوں گے |
|
24. | كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي الْأَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ |
Transliteration: | Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima aslaftum fee alayyami alkhaliyati |
Yusuf Ali: | "Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!" |
Mohsin Khan: | Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past! |
Saheeh: | [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past." |
Urdu: | کھاؤ اور پیئو ان کاموں کے بدلے میں جو تم نے گزشتہ دنوں میں آگے بھیجے تھے |

25. | وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ |
Transliteration: | Waamma man ootiya kitabahu bishimalihi fayaqoolu ya laytanee lam oota kitabiyah |
Yusuf Ali: | And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! |
Mohsin Khan: | But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! |
Saheeh: | But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record |
Urdu: | اور جس کا اعمال نامہ اس کے بائیں ہاتھ میں دیا گیا تو کہے گا اے کاش میرا اعمال نامہ نہ ملتا |

26. | وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ |
Transliteration: | Walam adri ma hisabiyah |
Yusuf Ali: | "And that I had never realised how my account (stood)! |
Mohsin Khan: | "And that I had never known how my Account is! |
Saheeh: | And had not known what is my account. |
Urdu: | اور میں نہ جانتا کہ میرا حساب کیا ہے |

27. | يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ |
Transliteration: | Ya laytaha kanati alqadiyatu |
Yusuf Ali: | "Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me! |
Mohsin Khan: | "Would that it had been my end (death)! |
Saheeh: | I wish my death had been the decisive one. |
Urdu: | کاش وہ (موت) خاتمہ کرنے والی ہوتی |

28. | مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ ۜ |
Transliteration: | Ma aghna AAannee maliyah |
Yusuf Ali: | "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! |
Mohsin Khan: | "My wealth has not availed me; |
Saheeh: | My wealth has not availed me. |
Urdu: | میرا مال میرے کچھ کام نہ آیا |
|
29. | هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَانِيَهْ |
Transliteration: | Halaka AAannee sultaniyah |
Yusuf Ali: | "My power has perished from me!"... |
Mohsin Khan: | "My power (and arguments to defend myself) have gone from me!" |
Saheeh: | Gone from me is my authority." |
Urdu: | مجھ سے میری حکومت بھی جاتی رہی |

30. | خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ |
Transliteration: | Khuthoohu faghulloohu |
Yusuf Ali: | (The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him, |
Mohsin Khan: | (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him; |
Saheeh: | [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. |
Urdu: | اسے پکڑو اسے طوق پہنا دو |

31. | ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ |
Transliteration: | Thumma aljaheema salloohu |
Yusuf Ali: | "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. |
Mohsin Khan: | Then throw him in the blazing Fire. |
Saheeh: | Then into Hellfire drive him. |
Urdu: | پھر اسے دوزخ میں ڈال دو |
|
32. | ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ |
Transliteration: | Thumma fee silsilatin tharAAuha sabAAoona thiraAAan faoslukoohu |
Yusuf Ali: | "Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits! |
Mohsin Khan: | "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" |
Saheeh: | Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." |
Urdu: | پھر ایک زنجیر میں جس کا طول ستر گز ہے اسے جکڑ دو |

33. | إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ |
Transliteration: | Innahu kana la yuminu biAllahi alAAatheemi |
Yusuf Ali: | "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High. |
Mohsin Khan: | Verily, he used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great, |
Saheeh: | Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great, |
Urdu: | بے شک وہ الله پر یقین نہیں رکھتا تھا جو عظمت والا ہے |
|
34. | وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ |
Transliteration: | Wala yahuddu AAala taAAami almiskeeni |
Yusuf Ali: | "And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent! |
Mohsin Khan: | And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor). |
Saheeh: | Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor. |
Urdu: | اور نہ وہ مسکین کے کھانا کھلانے کی رغبت دیتا تھا |
|
35. | فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هَاهُنَا حَمِيمٌ |
Transliteration: | Falaysa lahu alyawma hahuna hameemun |
Yusuf Ali: | "So no friend hath he here this Day. |
Mohsin Khan: | So no friend has he here this Day, |
Saheeh: | So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend |
Urdu: | سو آج اس کا یہاں کوئی دوست نہیں |
|
36. | وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ |
Transliteration: | Wala taAAamun illa min ghisleenin |
Yusuf Ali: | "Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds, |
Mohsin Khan: | Nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds. |
Saheeh: | Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds; |
Urdu: | اور نہ کھانا ہے مگر زخموں کا دھون |
|
37. | لَّا يَأْكُلُهُ إِلَّا الْخَاطِئُونَ |
Transliteration: | La yakuluhu illa alkhatioona |
Yusuf Ali: | "Which none do eat but those in sin." |
Mohsin Khan: | None will eat it except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists). |
Saheeh: | None will eat it except the sinners. |
Urdu: | اسے سوائے گناہگاروں کے کوئی نہیں کھائے گا |

38. | فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ |
Transliteration: | Fala oqsimu bima tubsiroona |
Yusuf Ali: | So I do call to witness what ye see, |
Mohsin Khan: | So I swear by whatsoever you see, |
Saheeh: | So I swear by what you see |
Urdu: | سو میں ان چیزوں کی قسم کھاتا ہوں جو تم دیکھتے ہو |

39. | وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ |
Transliteration: | Wama la tubsiroona |
Yusuf Ali: | And what ye see not, |
Mohsin Khan: | And by whatsoever you see not, |
Saheeh: | And what you do not see |
Urdu: | اوران کی جو تم نہیں دیکھتے |
|
40. | إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ |
Transliteration: | Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareemin |
Yusuf Ali: | That this is verily the word of an honoured messenger; |
Mohsin Khan: | That this is verily, the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibril (Gabriel) or Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم which he has brought from Allah]. |
Saheeh: | [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger. |
Urdu: | کہ بے شک یہ (قرآن) رسول کریم کی زبان سے نکلا ہے |
|
41. | وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ |
Transliteration: | Wama huwa biqawli shaAAirin qaleelan ma tuminoona |
Yusuf Ali: | It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe! |
Mohsin Khan: | It is not the word of a poet: little is that you believe! |
Saheeh: | And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe. |
Urdu: | اور وہ کسی شاعر کا قول نہیں (مگر) تم بہت ہی کم یقین کرتے ہو |
|
42. | وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ |
Transliteration: | Wala biqawli kahinin qaleelan ma tathakkaroona |
Yusuf Ali: | Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive. |
Mohsin Khan: | Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller): little is that you remember! |
Saheeh: | Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember. |
Urdu: | اور نہ ہی کسی جادوگر کا قول ہے تم بہت ہی کم غور کرتے ہو |

43. | تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
Transliteration: | Tanzeelun min rabbi alAAalameena |
Yusuf Ali: | (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds. |
Mohsin Khan: | This is the Revelation sent down from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists). |
Saheeh: | [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. |
Urdu: | وہ پرودگار عالم کا نازل کیا ہوا ہے |

44. | وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْأَقَاوِيلِ |
Transliteration: | Walaw taqawwala AAalayna baAAda alaqaweeli |
Yusuf Ali: | And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, |
Mohsin Khan: | And if he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah جل جلاله), |
Saheeh: | And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, |
Urdu: | اور اگر وہ کوئی بناوٹی بات ہمارے ذمہ لگاتا |

45. | لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِينِ |
Transliteration: | Laakhathna minhu bialyameeni |
Yusuf Ali: | We should certainly seize him by his right hand, |
Mohsin Khan: | We surely would have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), |
Saheeh: | We would have seized him by the right hand; |
Urdu: | تو ہم اس کا داہنا ہاتھ پکڑ لیتے |

46. | ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِينَ |
Transliteration: | Thumma laqataAAna minhu alwateena |
Yusuf Ali: | And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart: |
Mohsin Khan: | And then We certainly would have cut off his life artery (aorta), |
Saheeh: | Then We would have cut from him the aorta. |
Urdu: | پھر ہم اس کی رگِ گردن کاٹ ڈالتے |

47. | فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَاجِزِينَ |
Transliteration: | Fama minkum min ahadin AAanhu hajizeena |
Yusuf Ali: | Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath). |
Mohsin Khan: | And none of you could have withheld Us from (punishing) him. |
Saheeh: | And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him. |
Urdu: | پھر تم میں سے کوئی بھی اس سے روکنے والا نہ ہوتا |

48. | وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ |
Transliteration: | Wainnahu latathkiratun lilmuttaqeena |
Yusuf Ali: | But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing. |
Mohsin Khan: | And verily, this (Qur'an) is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (the pious. See V.2:2). |
Saheeh: | And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous. |
Urdu: | اور بے شک وہ تو پرہیزگاروں کے لیے ایک نصیحت ہے |

49. | وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ |
Transliteration: | Wainna lanaAAlamu anna minkum mukaththibeena |
Yusuf Ali: | And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it). |
Mohsin Khan: | And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Qur'an). (Tafsir At-Tabari) |
Saheeh: | And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. |
Urdu: | اور بے شک ہم جانتے ہیں کہ بعض تم میں سے جھٹلانے والے ہیں |

50. | وَإِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ |
Transliteration: | Wainnahu lahasratun AAala alkafireena |
Yusuf Ali: | But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers. |
Mohsin Khan: | And indeed it (this Qur'an) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection). |
Saheeh: | And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers. |
Urdu: | اور بے شک وہ کفار پر باعث حسرت ہے |

51. | وَإِنَّهُ لَحَقُّ الْيَقِينِ |
Transliteration: | Wainnahu lahaqqu alyaqeeni |
Yusuf Ali: | But verily it is Truth of assured certainty. |
Mohsin Khan: | And verily, it (this Qur'an) is an absolute truth with certainty. |
Saheeh: | And indeed, it is the truth of certainty. |
Urdu: | اور بے شک وہ یقین کرنے کے قابل ہے |

52. | فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ |
Transliteration: | Fasabbih biismi rabbika alAAatheemi |
Yusuf Ali: | So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High. |
Mohsin Khan: | So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. |
Saheeh: | So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. |
Urdu: | پس اپنے رب کے نام کی تسبیح کر جو بڑا عظمت والا ہے |
