| 31. | وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الْأَسْمَاءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ فَقَالَ أَنبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Transliteration: | WaAAallama adama alasmaa kullaha thumma AAaradahum AAala almalaikati faqala anbioonee biasmai haolai in kuntum sadiqeena |
| Yusuf Ali: | And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these if ye are right." |
| Shakir: | And He taught Adam all the names, then presented them to the angels; then He said: Tell me the names of those if you are right. |
| Pickthall: | And He taught Adam all the names, then showed them to the angels, saying: Inform Me of the names of these, if ye are truthful. |
| Mohsin Khan: | And He taught Adam all the names (of everything) , then He showed them to the angels and said, "Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful." |
| Saheeh: | And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful." |
| Urdu: | اور الله نے آدم کو سب چیزوں کے نام سکھائے پھر ان سب چیزوں کو فرشتوں کے سامنے پیش کیا پھر فرمایا مجھے ان کے نام بتاؤ اگر تم سچے ہو |

| 32. | قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ |
| Transliteration: | Qaloo subhanaka la AAilma lana illa ma AAallamtana innaka anta alAAaleemu alhakeemu |
| Yusuf Ali: | They said: "Glory to Thee, of knowledge We have none, save what Thou Hast taught us: In truth it is Thou Who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom." |
| Shakir: | They said: Glory be to Thee! we have no knowledge but that which Thou hast taught us; surely Thou art the Knowing, the Wise. |
| Pickthall: | They said: Be glorified! We have no knowledge saving that which Thou hast taught us. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower, the Wise. |
| Mohsin Khan: | They (angels) said: "Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Verily, it is You, the All-Knower, the All-Wise." |
| Saheeh: | They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise." |
| Urdu: | انہوں نے کہا تو پاک ہے ہم تو اتنا ہی جانتے ہیں جتنا تو نے ہمیں بتایاہے بے شک تو بڑے علم والا حکمت والا ہے |
