78. | وَمِنْهُمْ أُمِّيُّونَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا أَمَانِيَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ |
Transliteration: | Waminhum ommiyyoona la yaAAlamoona alkitaba illa amaniyya wain hum illa yathunnoona |
Yusuf Ali: | And there are among them illiterates, who know not the Book, but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture. |
Shakir: | And there are among them illiterates who know not the Book but only lies, and they do but conjecture. |
Pickthall: | Among them are unlettered folk who know the Scripture not except from hearsay. They but guess. |
Mohsin Khan: | And there are among them (Jews) unlettered people, who know not the Book, but they trust upon false desires and they but guess. |
Saheeh: | And among them are unlettered ones who do not know the Scripture except in wishful thinking, but they are only assuming. |
Urdu: | اور بعض ان میں سے ان پڑھ ہیں جو کتاب نہیں جانتے سوائے جھوٹی آرزوؤں کے اور وہ محض اٹکل پچو باتیں بناتے ہیں |
