51. | وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ |
Transliteration: | Wanabbihum AAan dayfi ibraheema |
Yusuf Ali: | Tell them about the guests of Abraham. |
Shakir: | And inform them of the guests of Ibrahim: |
Pickthall: | And tell them of Abraham's guests, |
Mohsin Khan: | And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham). |
Saheeh: | And inform them about the guests of Abraham, |
Urdu: | اور انہیں ابراھیم کے مہمانوں کا حال سنا دو |

52. | إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ |
Transliteration: | Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala inna minkum wajiloona |
Yusuf Ali: | When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!" |
Shakir: | When they entered upon him, they said, Peace. He said: Surely we are afraid of you. |
Pickthall: | (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you. |
Mohsin Khan: | When they entered unto him, and said: Salam (peace)! [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Indeed! We are afraid of you." |
Saheeh: | When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you." |
Urdu: | جب اس کے گھر میں داخل ہوئے اور کہا سلام اس نے کہا بے شک ہمیں تم سے ڈر معلوم ہوتا ہے |

53. | قَالُوا لَا تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ |
Transliteration: | Qaloo la tawjal inna nubashshiruka bighulamin AAaleemin |
Yusuf Ali: | They said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom." |
Shakir: | They said: Be not afraid, surely we give you the good news of a boy, possessing knowledge. |
Pickthall: | They said: Be not afraid! Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom. |
Mohsin Khan: | They (the angels) said: "Do not be afraid! We give you glad tidings of a boy (son) possessing much knowledge and wisdom." |
Saheeh: | [The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy." |
Urdu: | کہا ڈرو مت بے شک ہم تمہیں ایک دن لڑکے کی خوشخبری سناتے ہیں |

54. | قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَىٰ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ |
Transliteration: | Qala abashshartumoonee AAala an massaniya alkibaru fabima tubashshirooni |
Yusuf Ali: | He said: "Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?" |
Shakir: | He said: Do you give me good news (of a son) when old age has come upon me?-- Of what then do you give me good news! |
Pickthall: | He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can ye bring good tidings? |
Mohsin Khan: | [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?" |
Saheeh: | He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" |
Urdu: | کہا مجھے اب بڑھاپے میں خوشخبری سناتے ہو سو کس چیز کی خوشخبری سناتے ہو |

55. | قَالُوا بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ |
Transliteration: | Qaloo bashsharnaka bialhaqqi fala takun mina alqaniteena |
Yusuf Ali: | They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" |
Shakir: | They said: We give you good news with truth, therefore be not of the despairing. |
Pickthall: | They said: We bring thee good tidings in truth. So be not thou of the despairing. |
Mohsin Khan: | They (the angels) said: "We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing." |
Saheeh: | They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." |
Urdu: | انہوں نے کہا ہم نے تمہیں بھی سچی خوشخبری سنائی ہے سو تو نا امید نہ ہو |

56. | قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلَّا الضَّالُّونَ |
Transliteration: | Qala waman yaqnatu min rahmati rabbihi illa alddalloona |
Yusuf Ali: | He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?" |
Shakir: | He said: And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord but the erring ones? |
Pickthall: | He said: And who despaireth of the mercy of his Lord save those who are astray? |
Mohsin Khan: | [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?" |
Saheeh: | He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?" |
Urdu: | کہا اپنے رب کی رحمت سے نا امید تو گمراہ لوگ ہی ہوا کرتے ہیں |
