40. | إِنَّمَا قَوْلُنَا لِشَيْءٍ إِذَا أَرَدْنَاهُ أَن نَّقُولَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ |
Transliteration: | Innama qawluna lishayin itha aradnahu an naqoola lahu kun fayakoonu |
Yusuf Ali: | For to anything which We have willed, We but say the word, "Be", and it is. |
Shakir: | Our word for a thing when We intend it, is only that We say to it, Be, and it is. |
Pickthall: | And Our word unto a thing, when We intend it, is only that We say unto it: Be! and it is. |
Mohsin Khan: | Verily! Our Word unto a thing when We intend it, is only that We say unto it: "Be!" - and it is. |
Saheeh: | Indeed, Our word to a thing when We intend it is but that We say to it, "Be," and it is. |
Urdu: | ہم جس کام کےکرنے کا ارادہ کرتے ہیں تو اس کے لیے ہمارا اتنا ہی کہنا کافی ہے کہ ہم اسے کہہ دیں کہ ہو جا پھر ہو جاتا ہے |
