| 37. | وَلَا تَمْشِ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا ۖ إِنَّكَ لَن تَخْرِقَ الْأَرْضَ وَلَن تَبْلُغَ الْجِبَالَ طُولًا |
| Transliteration: | Wala tamshi fee alardi marahan innaka lan takhriqa alarda walan tablugha aljibala toolan |
| Yusuf Ali: | Nor walk on the earth with insolence: for thou canst not rend the earth asunder, nor reach the mountains in height. |
| Shakir: | And do not go about in the land exultingly, for you cannot cut through the earth nor reach the mountains in height. |
| Pickthall: | And walk not in the earth exultant. Lo! thou canst not rend the earth, nor canst thou stretch to the height of the hills. |
| Mohsin Khan: | And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height. |
| Saheeh: | And do not walk upon the earth exultantly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart], and you will never reach the mountains in height. |
| Urdu: | اور زمین پر اتراتا ہوا نہ چل بے شک تو نہ زمین کو پھاڑ ڈالے گا او رنہ لمبائی میں پہاڑوں تک پہنچے گا |
