| 44. | وَمَا كُنتَ بِجَانِبِ الْغَرْبِيِّ إِذْ قَضَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَى الْأَمْرَ وَمَا كُنتَ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ |
| Transliteration: | Wama kunta bijanibi algharbiyyi ith qadayna ila moosa alamra wama kunta mina alshshahideena |
| Yusuf Ali: | Thou wast not on the Western side when We decreed the Commission to Moses, nor wast thou a witness (of those events). |
| Shakir: | And you were not on the western side when We revealed to Musa the commandment, and you were not among the witnesses; |
| Pickthall: | And thou (Muhammad) wast not on the western side (of the Mount) when We expounded unto Moses the commandment, and thou wast not among those present; |
| Mohsin Khan: | And you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) were not on the western side (of the Mount), when We made clear to Musa (Moses) the commandment, and you were not among the witnesses. |
| Saheeh: | And you, [O Muhammad], were not on the western side [of the mount] when We revealed to Moses the command, and you were not among the witnesses [to that]. |
| Urdu: | اور تم غربی جانب نہیں تھے جب ہم نے موسیٰ کی طرف حکم بھیجا اور نہ اس واقعہ کو دیکھنے والے تھے |
